My parents got that same Bently machine when they went to one of those Vacation Time Share thingys. I remember playing it for a bit.

If it is an American issue and if you had the box for the SMS 2, yes, that is quite rare. I was lucky to pick one up for 20 dollars brand new back in '94 when they were getting rid of them at Kay Bee Toy stores.

ive never heard of the master system 2. Was it backwards compatable? How many games came out for it? Or was it just a revamped master system in a smaller case?

It was a revamped version of the original SMS... smaller, rounder, and lacked the card slot (Making 3D glasses & card games impossible to play).

This version is most commonly found in Europe. In fact, the system was so popular in Brazil that it is still in limited production!

Itīs only a compact version of the SMS with the same games. Here in Argentina and Southamerica is very common. Also there is another system which is called "Master system 3" which is very compact and only is available in Brazil and includes Sonic.
Bye

I would say that the Master System II is. The Radio Shack Pong system isn't so much though. I have one and I have seen one other (I don't go out of my way to look for pong clones). I think that one came with a gun too?, it's been a while since I have looked at it. As for the third system, I am unsure, I haven't seen one of those before.

I don't think either pong system is particularly rare; the Radio Shack one might depend on what model it is...

Au Contire... I can play card games on SMS2 console. The cart and card pinout are pretty straightforward and I was able to build a cart <-> card adapter that lets me play any card game on SMS2 and on Game Gear as well. I still can't get F-16 to work on Game Gear or Genesis (title screen but no gameplay). :P http://www.atariage.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif I think it's because F-16 was the only game that used certain video mode not supported or used by any other SMS or Genny games

Here in Holland, it's easy to get a Master System II, and a lot harder to get the first version.
