I love Final Fight, but Final Fight in 3d just isnt Final Fight. It must be 2d.

i hope they bring a few of the classic enemies from the older games into it. anyone think there will still be chicken dinners inside trash cans? this is great news nevertheless, and i'm buying this even if it turns out to be total crap.
No Cody or Guy? Sorry, I'm going to have to pass on this idea.

I bet they're hidden characters.
Even better, what if the Final Fight games were hidden somewhere in this new one, kind of like the virtual arcade on Shenmue. Hell, wouldn't it be nice if you could play them (after unlocking them) straight from the main menu.
Personally, I'd love to see a bonus game thrown in.....say the original Final Fight, but done with the new game's engine.

Where's Haggar or Guy?! Come on if it doesn't have those two then it definitely isn't Final Fight. They better not pull some crap like they got kidnapped or something. LOL
3D may be good for some, but IMO it's not a true Final Fight if it isn't 2D.

WHERE IS HAGGAR?!
no, this is not final fight. haggar WAS final fight - the original pull of the game was playing as ex-pro-wrestler/Metro City Mayor Mike Haggar and busting up punks while drinking whiskey from trash cans. this looks like every other bullshit action game that's been released in the last five years. 2D, 3D, it doesn't matter - if you ain't got haggar, you ain't got shit.
hell, even final fight revenge understood that you needed haggar to be a final fight game. and, again, the ridiculousness of haggar was the only reason to play FFR. why would anyone want to play a final fight game without him?

I never used Haggar. Ever. Guy & cody for me! :D
Anyways, It doesn't look much like final fight, but regardless of that, It's still a new beat-em-up and that's always a good thing. Plus, It's pretty safe to assume there'll be references to the previous games, probably in the form of unlockables or something. I hope Guy & Sodom are in this!

i ask you guys to buy this, even if it is untrue to its historical roots. we need more beat 'em ups, and bad sales will bury the genre. people always bitch about niche games getting such poor release and shipments, but we have the power right here to ressurect the industry! if you don't buy this for what it is, buy it for every unborn beat 'em up that needs a level of desire for the days of the future.

Man the, only way I'll play a game with this series name that looks like that is if they find a way to make it like the pseudo 3-d, but still 2-d that game like Gradius and such do.
Final Fight is 2-d...if you change the characters, what the hell else is left?

I know it has been said already, but Mike Haggar has to make an appearance. I have always wondered why he hasn't yet appeared in an SF game. Yes, he was in Slammasters and SF has Zangief, but Haggar is the baddest of them all.

I really, really hope they have at least one of the original players to choose from (Guy, Haggar, or Cody) and also bring back some of the old enemies. If it's going to be all new characters, then it better have awesome gameplay or i probably wont even consider buying.

From what I've played of the new final Fight at E3, I'm really impressed. Thought Capcom would manage to mess it up somehow, but it's coming along nicely. Lots of things to pick up, action feels nice and raw, and soda cans restore health still (havent seen any turkey dinners yet though). One of my favorites of the show that I've played, so far.
