According to the menu board when I stopped by for my morning coffee, McD's Happy Meals are now featuring toys and games starring Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. Anyone stop by for 'em or can confirm this?

Crash and Spyro?! Do they have new games coming out? Is McDonalds trying to clear out old Happy Meal toys?

I just got me a happy meal, and the toys seem to be a lcd game that has a flip up cover or something...kind of like a GB sp. Should I or shouldnt I open it up...hmmm.

Ill probably open it I just cant decide right now.

Okey these are nifty! They use some sort of reflective hologram tecnique.

Can anyone say "Cosmos"?

They also seem like little kids are going to utterlay destroy most of these; I accidently popped the lid off of mine within about 3.5 seconds.

I second that, or maybe a new Game & Watch idea.

I've got one waiting for me at the homestead. my wife called while on her lunch break to inform me of the good news.

it's funny, we have a 5 year old daughter and she's buying Happy Meal toys for me. she's quite the enabler.

I quite enjoy all these LCD games that have been in happy meals lately. this is what? the 5th series?

there's been Sonic ones twice, an ESPN Sports series, the very recent Activision series and now these.

keep em' coming I say.

ok its not as cool as the activision ones but these look pretty cool to me. i love game and watch style case. of course i still hate mcdonalds food but i do alright getting these things in the thrift store toy bags...you know the ones they hang on walls where you have to buy a whole sack of shrek and rugrats toys just to get your mario cart figure ;)

You know, even when I was a little boy around the age of 5 (about 1987) I thought most of these LCD games were weak. Sure, there have been good ones, like the Mega Man 2 one I still have, or my very first game, a handheld, three-LCD compact-style game where you had to avoid monkies to save your girlfriend.

But these McDonald ones are very poor. They make the Game.com look like Silicon Valley's gift to mankind.

Can anyone remember the McDonalds gameboy game they made? I can't find anything about it online at all. It wasn't the worst game I've ever played.

what do ya expect? I mean, they come with a Kids meal, so you get a burger fries a drink AND these things for 3 dollars. They can't be very great.

I just found a couple of these things in my son's room: Spyro and Crash, but I haven't played with them yet. They look kind of cool, and since I've got all of the last two sets of the Sonic premiums we might as well get all of these too.

personal note - Remember to chide Mrs. Pantechnicon for apparently taking the kids to McDonalds twice in one week :shameful:

I've been able to go to the dirt mall and find some of the Sega games still sealed for at little as 50 cents (among other older Happy Meal Toys). Not bad for a nifty LCD game.

But hell yeah, give us some Nintendo goodness next time.

Can't you just buy them individually for a dollar or something? I'd do it, maybe buy two sets. Or just buy one and keep them in good condition.

Oh come on, Promophile, we all know the "fries," "drink," and "hamburger" are made out of materials worth about 10¢. :P
