I have heard from a few of you that your proto auctions have been pulled. I did a quick search and didn't find a single item listed with proto or prototype in the GAMES section.

Has anyone here had a problem with ebay pulling their auctions recently?

I think it's true, since about early-mid december, I hadn't seen any real game protos which I found strange, and CPUwiz had his 2600 protos pulled. This sucks, considering this board and ebay were my only source for protos.

It all started when a guy listed a CX-2000 as a prototype a couple of months ago, it and several other prototypes around the same time got pulled.

It happened to me but I found a way around it, you list it as proto or lab-loaner and their bot doesn't pick it up. You can get more creative as well and do proto-type or p.ro.to.type. Everyone just needs to learn what to search for and it will be all good. :-D

Curt did the same thing, he just re-listed his as Atarisoft lab-loaners instead of using prototype.

looks like they caught on, they just cancelled that hologram that was listed as proto. there was also an unreleased dreamcast proto of propellar arena cancelled but that was listed as a prototype.
time to come up with a new word now.

ther's like 5 or 6 things in video games listed with the word prototype....man $510 bucks already on prop arena.

That brings a good question: with the inreased scarity of protos on eBay, woulkd that mean the proto that do slip through eBay sell for far more than before eBay started pulling protos?

they may or may not...considering that ebay usually brings a higher price on game related items....without ebay, finding protos may be harder, but then again, it's harder to find a buyer also, so it may actually make some protos more affordable.
