Yeah yeah....I have been messing with the DC way too much. But, hell, it's fun! Anyway, I have created a new self boot image of DColem (Dreamcast Colecovision emulator) with Ms. Space Fury! It runs great too! The self boot release you get from the authors webpage has 300 or so roms, but obviously this one is not included. If Joe gives the ok and the webspace, we can distribute it right here on the site so everyone with a DC can play Ms. Space Fury! What do yah say Joe?

I created my DColem disc from the tombstone burning group's rom sets. Included to my supprise was Ms. Space Fury. I played it the for the first time a few weeks ago after reading about it in the Digital Press Guide, and let me just say IT KICKS ASS. Easily now one of my favorites for the Coleco. What a fantastic job you guys did with that title. I've been meaning to comment on it, so I guess this is my chance.

Of course! Add Ms Space Fury! no problem!

The only condition to add Miss Space Fury is : make no money with this game.

If you can continue DCOLEM development, maybe you will be able to play Coleco Bejeweled DEMO too. A friend of mine (sega games collector) tells me about DCOLEM. He said to me : "DCOLEM doesn't play right Coleco Bejeweled DEMO".

Of course no money should be made on it at all! This is just for the people who want to play it on their tv sets and can't find or buy the cartridge. It runs nice too. Maybe I'll try to add some other homebrew games to it and see how they run.

Well, the author of DColem is really the one to thank. I am just merely adding games to it that weren't added in the binary he distributes. The real credit goes to Gonzo: http://dcolem.emuunlim.com/

Unfortunately it looks like the emulator isn't being worked on anymore, but the compatibility is quite good.

Man I don't know how many times I've extolled the virtues of Colecovision/SMS/NES/Atari 5200 emulation (all of which are pretty much perfect) on the Dreamcast here in these forums this past year.. so if you didn't know about it until now, where the heck have you been? ;)

But you're right, It's so AWESOME having a "console and thousands of games on a disc" which is why the Dreamcast kicks so much butt.

But I think the time is coming when we all mass move to the Xbox :) The dreamcast simply can't handle snes or mame too well. ;)

My only X-Box problem is that it cannot boot emulators natively. I would have to mod it. This would mean getting a mod chip and hoping the model X I purchase is able to be modded. Don't get me wrong, I WANT to do this. I see some great emulation stuff hitting the X, including Amiga emulation. But, I am kind of worried about modding it. It can go well. But then again, I can fry the X-box and the chip.

Heh, this'll probably be the first emulator I burn for my DC then.

I wish I could get copies of all these emulators. Is anyone interested in making some for me?

BTW: Ms. Space Fury plays pretty nicely on the Dreamcast, although the controllers seem a bit odd to hold when one is used to seeing these games on a real Colecovision.

You know, one of the FIRST places I tested the game out was on ColEM, and even on the Dreamcast. I remember that it booted up and ran OK but isn't there a problem with the two player mode (the real MEAT of the game is the 2-player competitive mode)?

I mean... I thought that player 1's controller ends up controlling both characters (Mr and Mrs Space Fury)? Maybe it's another emulator I'm thinking of?

Anyway, I'm glad people are having fun with the game! We set out to make one of the best ColecoVision games ever, and in my opinion, we did just that. Daniel is brilliant and Sly is... well, SLY.
