The way I feel is that I'll check out the auction when you first post it. If you must bumb it once during the course of the auction then fine but more than once and I look at it as spam.
Another way of bumping your post without being annoying would be by adding a few new items every few days. I wouldn't mind the bump so much if you at least had something new to show me.
