i wish i could post the pic on here but i cant figure out how to cut and paste it so this is the ebay item number for one

5775980289

does any one here have one of these? im interested in what the image looks like -- i understand its dark - i have no problem with that - what i would like to know is if its as bad as the descriptions i read about them.

i have a protable dvd player - and the screen has a low resolution but the image looks fine (i understand its a small screen) - but i try to picture it enlarged and i dont think it would be that bad

does the image look real blocky playing movies and nrew game systems ?

what about the older systems - that have lower or matching resolution to the lcd in the projector - do they look fine?

ive seen a pic of the image on a wall and it looked good - but it was the smallest screen the device makes - id like to see a pic or read a good description of what the enlarged image looks like

200-300$ seems too good to be true - but too much to just plop down just for a look see.

another feature is the replacement bulbs cost 7-10$

there is no component video input...only composite and s-video....kinda disappointing....just because of that i wouldnt get that projector

its a cheapo projector - dont expect everything

composite is fine for me at the moment - i dont have component or svideo on all my game systems (only the newer ones - not including the plug n play systems)

not upgrading my tv anytime soon and will get highend stuff if i ever buy a house

also with that kind of resolution i dont think it realy matters

I've seen these for sale.

Has ANYONE on DP purchased or used one?

I'm tempted to get one to use purely with lower-resolution devices, i.e. older consoles (pre PSX & Saturn).

I'd really have to see it in action before I'd ever buy one though, but the price is ridiculously low.

Hell, for $200 it's worth it even if all you're going to do is play Super Mario Bros. on an 80 inch projected surface...

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

The first rule when buying a display of any kind is never buy one without seeing the picture yourself. Some people are happy with a poor picture as long as it fills up the wall while others have a weaker stomach.

Some questions I'd make: What kind of adjustments it has? Does the room have to be pitch dark (it uses generic halogen lamps)? Is the fan loud? It's only $200 but every projector should have *some* kind of geometry correction.

I've never seen it in action but by seeing the description alone I'd rather buy a used but well-proven projector with lamp life left, they should start from $500-ish.

they had another one that had high res - which sold for 1000$ but had 8000 hour bulbs - i dont see those any more on ebay -- i checked the model number out - it was only available in china

Anybody notice this:?

Features:

Maximum projective size up to 80 inches
8 hours continuous working time
On screen display (osd) function
Remote control all function
NTSC/PAL auto system
Build in speaker , stereo sound output
Lamp life : 1000 hours

8 hours and then it won't work for some pre-determined amount of time? What the funk?

just a thermal issue is my gues

i never play or watch something for 8 hours strait any ways - thats fine with me

the lamp is 1000 hours - but replacement ones are 7 - 10$ each

as oposed to 350 - 600$
