View Full Version : PSP Already Gets A "Shame of the Month" In EGM

If you're familiar with Electronic Gaming Monthly, you know that they have a Game of the Month and in the last year or so they've also added "Shame of the Month". This is what they give a game that gets the worst reviews of the month if it's universally panned by all 3 critics that review it. In the July 2005 issue, the PSP gets a "Shame of the Month"...I'm not sure if it's the first as I didn't really pay that much attention the last few issues. The game is Rengoku: The Tower of Purgatory which gets scores of 3, 2 and 2. Another poorly reviewed PSP game this issue is something called Smartbomb. The Game of the Month this issue goes to Forza Motorsport, a racing game for the XBox. Also of note...not a single review for any GameCube game.

Can't review Cube games if they're not going to release any.

wow, that game gets some REALLY low scores, but some reviews say it is ok, I am definitley waiting until I can pick it up for under $15

Wow. Those are the lowest scores I've seen for it yet. It's on its way to me and since my reviews are the only ones that matter, I'll let you know. ;)

I think Ping Pals got ripped even harder. That's about the only DS to get really nasty low scores so far, though EGM hasn't reviewed them all either.

ping pals is tied with some flintstones game for EGM's worst game ever. i think it got a 0,1, and 1.5. that's sad. i remember reading the review, and i'm surprised it was'nt reviewed in "the rest of the crap"

I remember the Flinstones game got a 0.5. There was also another racing PS game which got that rating too.

Also, MK Advance is the first ever game in EGM to receive a 0.0 rating.

i'm still going to pick up rengoku eventually, doesn't the android remind anyone of zeiram (of iria fame) from the screenshots?
