View Full Version : 3 Free issues of Nintendo Power at Nintendo.com
Right now at Nintendo.com if you've registered 3 games you can get 3 issues of Nintendo Power for free, and after that runs out you can get a 1 year subscription for $12 ($15 Cdn). You don't have to get the subscription after but it's cheaper than usual. And they'll add these 3 issues to an existing subcription if you already subscribe.

I already got it. I'm really pissed at the fact that Nintendo isn't doing more for its members that register their games and systems. I have 30+ items registered games and systems there, but they rarely have promotions up for grabs. Does anyone else feel the same way I do about this?

sony has something similar I've regestered with them and haven't got a darn thing from them not for free not for sale at a discount. Nothing nada zip zero zelch. so no I don't feel Pissed in the least.
As long as you have 3 games registered you qualify, you don;t need to register 3 new ones to get it. You just have to click on their link to verify you want them.

But you could get demos in OPM (If you subscribe) if I recall correctly. Nintendo Power has never done such a thing. The most recent time they have given out a demo was the Metriod Prime 2:Echos demo. That was almost a year ago. I also believe that that was the last thing they gave out before they did this Nintendo Power three free months subscription deal.

I meant to post this before, but I forgot. They have been offering it since Tuesday. I only had 2 systems to register (its a combination of 3 games or systems to register), a GBA and GC. So I went on eBay and found an SP serial # to get the last one. I know its wrong to do, but a heads up if you're interested in checking out the new Nintendo Power.

Is it any surprise that the free issues promo comes at a time like this, when the mags are sure to be thinner than ever?

They're doing it because of NP's "revolution". Looks interesting, but my hopes are not too high.

Hmmm, I might even register some of my newer GC stuff to take advantage of this one. Havent seen one in ages (back before N64 was released), so who knows how they look now. It really pisses me off when companies dont take care of their loyal customers. Me and Sony have had a falling out concerning the laser in my PS2, but at least Nintendo is moving more towards that direction now

Thanks, but no thanks. I have 12 old Nintendo Power issues from 1989 to 1991 stashed in my closet somewheres. I did have a 5th anniversary issue from 1993 & one from 1995, but they're vanished without a trace.

Thanks for the heads up. I just noticed that I have 4 items registered. I visit Nintendo.com quite often, but usually don't sign in. So I was oblivious to this. My NP subscription ended last January, but the email confirmation I got stated, "Your free issues will be added to your current subscription. You will begin receiving them in Jun, 2005"]

No, it's the next 3 issues, not any 3 issues of your choice.

Has anyone actually received their first free issue? I don't really want to buy the new one from Books a Million or wherever if I'm going to get it for free. But I also don't want to miss out on it either.

Not yet in my case. And I filled out the form as soon as I got the email from Nintendo about it.

No but I signed up for this on the monday before E3. I received an email from Nintendo saying my first issue would be July (that's some good customer service).

Yeah, I got my first of the three free issues yesterday.
I like the new look, but good lord, someone needs to proofread that mag before it gets printed now. I'm a really poor proofreader, and I caught several things at a quick glance last night.
I enjoy my video game magazines though, so I can't complain. And I hope they continue to do things like the free DVD - I'd love to see something like OPM does.
