Just won an auction on eBay for some SNES games. It's not spectacular, but I was almost sniped off it by some random guy who came in like three minutes until the end of it. I waited until only about 20 seconds remained, put in my maximum limit and crossed my fingers...

GOTCHA! The sniper is now the sniped! BOOYAH!

Heh heh. Probably sounded incredibly geeky of me, but after being sniped so often, it's nice to have a bit of revenge.

be careful. i was so aggressively counter-sniping that i ended up paying 23 bucks for a moonwalker cart. eh.

I usualy wait until the last 20-25 seconds before I make my snipe's, I have been pretty lucky with sniping recently.

Had a sniper recently whose bid was exactly the same as my maximum and as such, he conversely lost the item. I was so tempted to send him an email saying "you lose! :p"

I have the auction open it 2 windows, tiled vertically. One is the auction page, and I keep refreshing it. The other is after I clicked bid now or whatever and I'm at the confirm bid button. I wait till there's about 3 seconds left, and click bid!

LOL

That is the EXACT same thing that I do. I usually snipe at 5 seconds though, just in case something goes wrong.

I've been getting so pissed off at getting sniped with <5 seconds to go lately, that I have been bidding way beyond what I would normally pay just for the satisfaction of winning.
