Anyone else collect PS2 & Xbox games?

I have a pretty good amount for both consoles, been collecting mostly for them, my GBA mostly and guess you would call 41 GameCube games own pretty decent also.

Anyway I own 129 PS2, 83 Xbox games so far, you can check them out here if you like:

I collect Xbox games, but I'm kind of miffed with the system right now. My system was a lemon right out of the box, and I can't really play anything on it. I haven't decided if I want another Xbox or a 360. If the 360 appeals to me, I might get it after I'm convinced that its actually well made. Otherwise, I'll just get another Xbox with a Samsung.

I've got a decent collection of GC titles, but no PS2 games since I don't own the system. There are some titles that I want, and I'll eventually get them if I decide on a PS3.

With only EB and Gamestop in my area, there really isn't much opportunity to collect for any other generation. However, I do have a dozen or so games for a few older systems.

That's a nice collection you've got. I've been wanting to build up my GBA collection (I just bought Minish Cap and Astroboy) and looking at your list has given me a few ideas. I do have one suggestion for you - pick up Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath when you get a chance. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

337 PS2 and 145 XBox really isnt all that much.... I've got so much more for both to get before I've got alot for the systems.

Yup, and I worked hard to get it. I called around until I finally found a used one at a Gamestop near DC and then I had to convince them to ship it to a nearby store in NC just for me. I figured that they would be happy to do it, but it took a little begging. I just get these fixed ideas in my head sometimes, and getting that game seemed very important.

Not really. Once they shifted the boards over I kinda stopped going. I didnt like the same 3 questions over and over and the FF VII vs FF VIII shit nonstop so I stopped wasting my time. Once Dangrboy (theres no E over there) showed me to here to help on the PS front, I've stayed pretty much here tossing my carnal knowledge about.

My IGN lists are very out of date but they at least give you an ider as to what i've got.

PS2 wise: Would lije to get every Rare/hard to fin/limit production run games (Already own Firefighter FD 18 and Gitaroo Man)
XBox wise: Nope, its just to play.

I am not the ccollector in anything but I do collection the special editions of games that are really good like the Halo 2 Special Edition and I did import one game a long time ago, becase it was only a special edition there not in the US.

I cant say I collect for any of them yet though I never sell or trade in a PS2/GC or Xbox game once I buy it,and I do sometimes pick up cheap priced titles that I may never get around to playing.(I buy mostly games I will play)

I don't really Collect Current-Gen Games.

I have 21 Xbox games (All complete) And 6 PS2 games.

With Xbox i never trade/sell them. If it's PS2 and i don't like the game, It'll go out the door. (Smuggler's run is one) And if the game is for All three consoles (Or Just Xbox & PS2) I'll get it for Xbox.

Here is my ranking of the current consoles:

Nope, I stopped before the playstation, and no gameboy stuff.

Gotta stop somewhere, and that's where it is for me :) Especially with the kids having their own gamecube now, I'd never be able to keep the stuff in good condition.

Collect everything up to the playstation though basically.

Yeah, I collect PS2 and Xbox. Got about 70 complete titles for each (and only 30 for GCN). I mainly pick up obscure stuff that's hard to find. That way, I don't have to worry about buying an ultra-rare titles off Ebay in the future for insane amounts of cash. I'll pick up mainstream stuff once in a while too. My favorites are Disaster Report and Firefighter F.D. 18 for PS2 and Fatal Frame I & II for Xbox.

Once I get a job I think I will go full time into cllecting PS2 games, as I love the system and already have a hearty amount of games, plus its so very satisfying hitting up eb games with my 10% off card and getting games for like $5 each, and winding up with 11 or so games for the price of one.

I pick all the games I research and stuuf, all teh games I bought I have successfully beat it and I play it over again. I love Katamari Damaci right now, I beat it twice. :evil:

Well, I recently counted 57 XBox games in my collections (1 less than my GameCube Collection) but I forget whether that was before or after the last 3 or 4 XBox games I bought. I'm thinking it was after, though, so for now my GC collection would stand at 58 games, my XBox collection at 57 and my PS2 collection is (I think) around 48 games.

I kind of collect for current gen consoles. Though I don't have the large library of games that some here have. I do have a good amount of obscure games for the likes of PS2 and GCN. Xbox doesn't seem to have much that appeals to me though I do like what I have. My counts look like as follows:
