Game Boy Super Mario Land question

I bought a good sized lot of Game Boy games off ebay and I got 2 Super Mario Lands with different labels and I was wondering if anyone knew the difference. One is DMG-ML-US and the other is DMG-MLA

The one to the left is most probably pirated. I have SML and my cart is identical to the one to the right.

It kind of reminds me of the Japanese version, but I have no pics to compare.

Yeah that game is a little hard to find. It took me about 2 years to find the original GB release, boxed (eBay of course)

Now to find out which version it is! Apparently, they upated the game to have a harder mode (just more enemies on screen at once). Personally, I like the J cartridge art much better.

I'm just getting into import GB collecting, and I'll second how hard it all is to come across.

I'm presently looking for the Japanese versions of every Mario Platformer, on any system.

Thanks guys, after looked at my Japanese Duck Tales cart I thought it might be a Japan import as well, but I just wanted to make sure.

I bought it in a lot of 21 games and 2 lime screened old grey game boys for $57 shipped on ebay and I had no idea it was hard to come by, so double thanks.
