No, seriously - I still believe that this is one of the most underrated machine ever... ok actually, maybe not the machine itself but at least its games.

See, I am one of those players who usually do not like to play for more than 2 hours at a time and most Next gen games require dedication, which I have neither the time nor the patience to have.
But the Virtual Boy is full of these great "little"games that aree easy to pick up so enjoyable to play for an hour.

Here are the favorites "pick up and play" I found so far :
- Galactic Pinball
- Nester's funky Bowling
- Space Squash
- Insmouse
- Virtual Fishing
- Mario Tennis
- Panic Bomberman (?title)

Sure the games are unlikely to ever top a top 50 games ever but they do deserve credit for being amongst the most entertaining.

and I still need to get my hands on V-Tetris and 3D-Tetris (I'd also like to try out Virtual LAb, Gundam and Virtual Bowling but unless one of you guys want to lend one to me I doubt I'll ever be able to try that).

this remains as one of my all time favorite systems, the games are just so inventive and fun. I especialy love mario tennies and wario land.
Anyone who is cautious about buying a virtual boy, please do yourself a favor and check it out, it truly is awsome.

Mario Tennis is the balls, and I hate tennis and all sports games! Something about red lines and headaches just works with tennis...

If you want to get your hands on those you gotta have a pretty big wallet, well anyway. If you haven't played v-tetris yet It is a really great tetris game, even better then the original. The only problem is that the russian music is gone :/

wanna have a fun time, wait until you are really tired then lay on the ground on your back, in the dark, and put the Virtual Boy on your face and play Red Alarm until you pass out.

It's funny, even Nintendo's so called "failures" (Virtual Boy, e-Reader) are still tons more fun than more successful systems.

believe it or not that is the total best way to playh the system. It might seem awkward, but at night turn off all the lights, lay on the bed or couch and place the gameboy on your face.
No light comes in and it really makes it like virtual reality. Then there arent those nasty side effewcts of the light blinding you when you stop playing in the daytime.

I loved my Virtual Boy so much that I decided to share it with the world and I put it on Ebay.

I couldn't keep that migraine all to myself.

Seriously, I thought the VB was a cool little system and I really wanted to like it but it kept giving me headaches after about 20 minutes of play. No one wants to take Excedrin just to play a game for more than 20 minutes.

I tried it once. Felt like it was crushing the tip of my nose.

That is the only way I ever play my VB...

It's really sad that Bound High and Dragon Hopper weren't released for the VB. I've seen the promo vids for them and they look so fun. It would have been nice if Faceball made it to the VB also. Hopefully the person who owns the proto will dump it someday.

Speaking of which, some people were offering some of the proto games on burned eproms some time ago - does anyone know where I could get some of those?

this system had a TON of potential, imagine a pokemon, kirby, or donkey kong, zelda, final fantasy, or even a megaman game?
