Why? I don't see the problem with sniping. Bid what you're willing to pay and walk away from it. It doesn't matter when people bid, the only thing that matters is the dollar amount that a person is willing to pay. The higher amount wins. It's a simple as that.

Sniping is a PITA, but if you put down your highest offer, and it gets outbid 1 minute or 1 hour before auction end, does it matter? If you say yes, perhaps you shoulda put a higher bid in...

i mean it's legit and everything i guess cause i could have put a higher bid on it to begin with, but man does it piss a guy off...especially when it's only .50 cents over what you had

I agree totall with you.. I do this all the time. You have to put up your highest bid that you would pay for it and sit back. IF there is no price value that you want to set, find a high medium that wont kill your checkbook (like bidding $50.00 for a loose Final Fantasy 3). Its high enough where you will win but low enough that it wont kill you if you DO have to pay 50 bucks.

Sniping is legit and so people can use it whenever they want.
It can feel shitty when losing but it happens all the time even when the sniper has not been used by your enemy.
Sometimes you want a game bad enough that it can f%%k up your day when your sniped just before aution ending, but hey there are a lot of people who eventually sell their stuff again so there are enough oppertunaties in the future.

Almost all my sniping is manual. The only time I ever use software is when an auction finishes at 4am or similar. And it's the way to go, I've been bid up too many times in the past (especially by shillers) to ever not snipe now.

I'm with Mat on this one. I just used some sniping software for the first time a few days ago because it was something that had the ability to get out of hand especially because I wasnt going to be there to be able to watch the auction. I sniped my max I was willing to pay and didnt worry. If someone wanted it more than I did, they would have sniped it (manually or with a program) and possibly beat me. I wont make it a common occurance or anything, but it was very nice to not worry about it when I was off at work kinda thing.
