EB Games both online and in the store has Paper Mario TTYD for the low price of $20.00. In the latest EB Games catalog on page 40 is a $20 dollar EB games mail-in gift voucher. I would say this is a real good deal.
It gets better. If you go to PriceGrabber.com http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=4246793/search=mario
Sign up, send in the information and do a review you will get $5.00 mailed to you.

So, if I get it online, can I still mail in the voucher? I don't have a printer.

The coupon is in the EB Games catalog, available in the store.
You buy the game and then send in the coupon from the catalog along with the original receipt and get a $20 gift certificate to be used in EB Games.
The pricegrabber link is a way to get an extra $5.00 back on a lot of items (including games).
If you go to the link:
http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=4246793/search=mario
You will see a $5.00 available by the game. You have to register then you can get the $5.00 cash form. You have to send in a copy of the receipt, a copy of the UPC code and do a quick review of the product. You will then receive a $5.00 check in the mail.

Go to the store and have them scan it, they won't do it over the phone, they'll only tell you what's market on the game. If it's in the store, it WILL be 19.99.

Not really, it's not like you can take the coupon down to KFC and buy a jug full of popcorn chicken or anything. You'd just be getting store credit.

No need to play games like that, man, the people in my store know me as the guy who knows the sales before the people that work in the store do. LOL
I just walked in there, asked for a catalog, said "on page 40 there a coupon for a 20.00 gift voucher for Paper Mario, I'd like to get that, and Paper Mario was just marked down to 19.99 today".

Damn what a deal. I am going to risk it and give it up until later in the week. The EB games is like 20 miles from my house, and I have a damn wedding to go to this weekend out of town so going to EB is out of the question. Hmmm, anyone know how long this deal is going on for?

Thanks for the tip on this deal...I picked up a copy using one of the $20 certificates I got from last month's Hot Shots/Syphon Filter deal. The receipt reads Paper Mario and all 0.00s for the price. Anyone know if this will still qualify for the $20 Paper Mario cetificate in the May flyer?
Either way, great deal,

Can I still use the 20.00 voucher?
Does it have to be an original voucher or can I print the copy from slickdeals.net?

Maybe. Maybe not. I've noticed lately that EB will drop the price of a game for a couple days and then price it normally again. The did this with Fight Club, Metal Gear 3, FF Crystal Chronicles, and a few others recently.

Receiving a $20 voucher 2 weeks later that is only good at EB is not what I would call free. I'm not driving 45 miles to my local EB anyway, I'd do it online, so I wouldn't qualify for it anyway.
Besides all of that $20 is an excelent price. "Free" or not.

Right on. It's not like they are giving you a rebate check or anything. It's just a gift voucher for store credit. I plan on getting MegaMan Anniversary Collection for Xbox with my voucher. That comes to $10 + tax for each game after this deal. It's a great deal but I'm definitely not getting anything for free.

Yeah, I actually called the online customer service rep. and they told me that catalog coupons will not work for online purchases, I just hope they get that ONE copy in today that they were claiming they would. Otherwise, I may have to find a way to get out of work to go across town and get one, I want to play this game so bad. :(

Update on this deal. You *WILL NOT* get a $20 EB voucher if you paid $20 for Paper Mairo. It's only valid for people that pay $50 for it. I called up my local EB and they just confirmed this. Apparently, all EB retail stores got an email about it today.

Thanks for the heads-up!
Although sick, I dragged myself today to an EB. It worked: Paper Mario plus the gift voucher.
I know the guy there, he obviously didn't know that EB tries to limit the voucher for a $50 purchase. Now I read on here that it might not work.
I checked the voucher. In fine print it says "cannot be combined with any other offer/discount." This wouldn't be enough to deny the $20 store credit. However, on page 39 of the catalog Paper Mario is offered for $29.99: "Save $20 after an EB games mail-in gift voucher." This indicates indeed that the gift voucher was intended for a $50 purchase.
I will still send it in, write a nice letter, and will point out that the text on the voucher does not point out any restrictions except for other offers/discount. Since Paper Mario for $20 was not advertised as a special offer, I insist that I'll get the voucher. It says neither in the catalog nor on the voucher that the voucher is limited to a $50 purchase. I will also point out that it was told to me in the store that the voucher is valid with my purchase.
I'm pretty sure I'll get the store credit.
If it doesn't work, $20 for Paper Mario is still a deal.

I think it's more likely due to the fact that every EB Games store in the country suddenly had a bunch of CheapAssGamers trying to get something for nothing due to an oversight, and they took entirely reasonable steps to prevent it.

Well, it wasn't a misprint or a typo in the sales paper. If you have a gift voucher for the purchase of Mario without stating the limitations (in this case the price of $50), it is on the edge of false advertisement.
They made a mistake. They offered a gift voucher, then reduced the price drastically, and the gift voucher was still running.
In any case, it is a great deal. A Paper Mario for $20 is very nice, a Paper Mario for ten dollars would be even better. :) I buy new games from $3 to $20, otherwise I'd end up in a poorhouse. :)

If I'd waited to open it, i would have returned it PRONTO. if the email was on wed...they should be accepting all entries postmarked on monday or tuesday. I.e. in the days BEFORE they caught the mistake. ya know what? I'm calling EB and complaining my head off..i just have to calm down and figure on how to do it in a reasonable manner. this is pure bullshit. NOWHERE in the damn ad does it say ANYTHING about this requirement. The game had no SALE sticker, no DISCOUNT sticker. It was a NEW 19.99 STICKER, same as any OTHER NEW GAME STICKER THEY HAVE. Oh no, they fucked up and made it possible to get a free game. How are they different than anyone else? I Sold a few game cases to a board member. I Fucked up my shipping calculation, and lost money on it. Did I go crying "Oh shit man i lost money on this, you need to pay me more man!"? No. I swallowed the loss. EB SUCKS.
