Hey folks!

Just as the title asks...

I know we have to wait for online-enabled games but I was wondering what else I'd need (while I have the time and money!!). I already have a wireless router and a broadband connection so how do I set this up for online play. At the minute the rouer is used fo rmy PC and 2 Xboxes but they are all ethernet connected. I have never done anything with the wireless side of things - help!

Cheers, P :)

I believe you already have everything you need. From what I've read you just need a wireless "hotspot" and an online enabled game. Your wireless router will act as the hotspot.

Since the DS online games aren't here yet, it's impossible to know exactly how it's going to be set up.

so really, it is just a metter of waiting and seeing, then? I really can't wait for it to go online - I'm a bit dissappointed about Metroid Hunters but I am really excited about Animal Crossing and Mario Kart!

Yes, now we just have to play the waiting game. I'm excited about the DS going online as well, and hopefully it will be a success and then the system will really start to take off. :)

I just recently bought a wireless router myself while I had the cash!

Both of you seem so hyped about this, true Nintendo DS fanboys. Perhaps you two may get the chance to meet up and play against each other when the system finally goes online. Good luck to both of you in getting your DSes up and running online. Even though I know very little on this subject, it does sound like you guys have what is needed, unless they come out with some other accesory to use with online games such as a headset or something (even though the thing already has a set of speakers and a mic). Good Luck and Game ON!

Don't know if Gaegirl would appreciate being called a fan'boy'!! Anyway...yeah, I'm pretty hyped excited about it! I genuinely believe that the big N will craete some truly interesting (and original) online games. And, if you're up for it then I'll race the both of you on MK when it's released! :)

Well crap. I'm sorry about that mistake in terms gamegirl79. Just thought I should apologize before you start driving south down here to kill me. LOL Sorry, I should of checked the backgrounds (or at least the names) of who I was talking to.

As for taking me on in MarioKart, Pedro Lambrini, I'm sorry but I do not have a DS and honestly do not plan on getting one any time soon. But if I do I will defently be sure to tell you! :D

See you guys (I say 'guys' as in male or female) around though on the Roundtable!
