Mario Segali was Nintendo's original landlord, the guy who "Mario" was based off of, or at least where the namesake came from for the existing "Jumpman" character from Donkey Kong.
Does anyone know if he's still alive? I wanna see a picture of the real life Mario! I know this guy was the landlord of NOA's first offices in New York, and it was Minoru Arakawa that made the association.
(I'm not claiming to be the originator of any of this info, got it all from NintendoLand, but it'd be cool to find the actual guy).
