Seriously, though, you earn meseta for posting (up to 10 posts per 8-hour period). You can then click on the "Shop" link in the upper menus (where you have "Watched Topics", "FAQ", etc) and then select one of the "shops" where you can buy virtual goods of sorts, like Zelda-related stuff, Defender icons, Nintendo black-box scans, etc.

Price varies greatly, so you can plan your meseta over what you want to buy next.

Using your meseta, you can "buy" items in the the Shop (the link is by the PM message center on the SubRed theme).

Check out the "shop" link near the top of the screen. There you can "buy" "stuff" with your meseta.
