Don't know if you've caught this Cartoon Network show on Fridays, but it's great for us children of the '80s. The 'toon must take place in the '80s because:
1. One of Robot's friends wears a Pac-Man shirt all of the time.
2. The evil kids at school wear Devo flower-pot hats.
3. The episode I saw this week had them competing in a Rubik's Cube solving contest.
4. The school computer whiz was working on one of the first Apple computers.
5. The hairstyles, clothing, and slang is straight from that era.
6. Robot's voice sounds like it is a digitized robot voice using an old C64 voice program I used to have.

Check it out. It's a hoot and a half. Fridays at 9:30 p.m. I think...

Wha? They made a robot jones series? I haven't had cable for about 18 months, but last I saw, it was just one of those little 7 minute "What a Cartoon" shorts.

I wonder if Stephen Hawkings does any voice over work for that show?

Yup. Even the animation looks like it was ripped from those ABC specials with Timer (the healthy eating blob in a top hat) or that dancing, singing firefly (You got to play it safe around e-lec-tri-ci-teeee!)

Heh, I forgot about the healthy hat blob thing. Anyone remember Mr. Kite? He'd tell kids about staying away from high voltage lines..and for some reason, a little girl asked him "even frogs?"
That was some good stuff.

"I hanker for a hunk of...
A slab or slice or chunk of...
I hanker for a hunk of cheese! Ya-hoooo!"

Tempest, I have to kill you now for making me remember that song.
