Was Mario's Picross (SNES) released in the U.S.?

I know about the Game Boy version but what about the SNES version? I can't seem to find actual proof of it being out stateside on the net, but I seem to remember renting the game when it was released. Was this thing released, even in prototype form or anything? Thanks.

It's not on the ORG so I don't think it launched in America :)

Somebody in another thread long ago confirmed for me that no, it wasn't released for the SNES in the U.S. Just the Gameboy version.
