Have any of you beaten this game? If so could you give my some kind of strategy for killing the last boss? This dude seems pretty hard to me. You are frozen about half the time you're fighting him and and he takes away all of your powers so it seems you can do nothing but hit him him with your weapon. I've been trying to beat this damn game all day but it just keeps going on and on. At one point I was just watching tv and repeatedly hitting the x button. And at another I was playing animal crossing during the load times. I liked the first half of the game but toward the end it really starts to drag on.

Not really sure what to tell you other than go level up or buy some ice resistant armor. I think I only died three times the entire game and that was just by running in and hacking away.. :hmm:

Oh, and when you beat him, the game keeps going. Yes, it's way too long.

Get a combo of ice resistant armor and weapons that heal you when you hit them. It is a great way to accomplish a good mix of the two things you need to do in the fight.

I already fought this guy once. Do you mean I have to fight him 3 times?

No, no. There are more missions to do. It's amazing that after all you do that damn town, they offer you like no thanks and ask you to do more. Generous people, really.

Wow if there are more missions after this dude I'm just going to give up now. I figured if I beat him another time I could add the this to the list of games I've beaten and get on with my life. Why should I put myself through this torture when I could actually have fun playing my gamecube or something?

Well, technically, they're kinda like side missions. I didn't do them, and you do get an ending after beating him. Not sure what you get after doing the new set.

lol- you can actually get a small number of those missions by talking to the townspeople earlier, completing the missions they give you, and going back to town until they stop handing them out. most of the stuff you get is going to be trade bait at the shop anyway, as you have no more major quests to do.

one event i found hilarious early in the game was when some assassin attacked me (and the golem i had summoned accidentally) in the town's "park" area. i thought i'd be ambushed whenever i was in town after that, but i don't recall if this was ever explained fully afterward (the game IS long, isn't it, LOL )
