Can anyone recommend some games set in comic books or movies? I love beat-em ups and have been playing Viewtiful Joe (GCN)and Comic Zone (MegaDrive) and enjoy both of them.
I am just looking for games similar to these two.

Thanks much

Ditto. I would suggest um... Viewtiful Joe 2? Also, Viewtiful Joe VFX Battle (GCN, PSP) and Scratch! Viewtiful Joe (DS) will be out sometime later this year.

Tiny Toons 2 for Gameboy takes place in movies, and It's not half-bad, either. Konami always did a good job with the Tiny Toons license. Also, Zombies Ate My Neighbors feels like it's taking place in a bunch of cheesy horror movies, even though it technically isn't...

Kid Chameleon takes place in....a video game.

How about Stuntman? Heh.

You could always try Last Action Hero. It's a game based off of a movie that takes place in a movie. Of course, some people say that the game isn't too good, so your mileage may vary.

Mickey Mania The Timeless Adventures of Mickey Mouse (SNES, maybe other platforms) puts Mickey in movie themes, starting with the classic Steamboat Willie and The Prince and the Pauper and many others.

The levels start explicitly out with a movie set-up to give the gamer the feeling that he plays a movie. In Steamboat Willie the game starts in black and white, and then changes into color.

The gameplay is good, a traditional platformer, and the graphics are beautifully animated. (dveloped by Disney Software, published by Sony Imagesoft)

The game was overlooked at the time because it was released in the same month with the better Mickey- platformer Magical Quest by Capcom.

The better version of Mickey Mania is on the Genesis (the levels aren't exactly the same as in the SNES version). But either version is great. My favorite level is the Mad Doctor Level, with a visual design that would have made Ub Iwerks proud.

How about Secret of Evermore? That kinda takes place in a movie.
