nope...didnt even know you could...but, an alarm clock like that, if you dont have it plugged in, doesnt seem very reliable to me

Nope. However, I've used a few times the alarm function on my iPod.

Nope never used it. I tried using it when I first got my DS, but it just didn't wake me up.

I am assuming its something for the "light sleeper"? My old cell phone had an alarm on it, I decided to try it out one drunken night staying in some girls room at college. Needless to say I didn't make it to class the next day. Just seems that something that tiny could make such a loud noise :hmm:

I will try it one night, but I really dont wanna take the risk of not waking up..

Yeah, but I find that my Neo geo pocket's alarm wakes me up better, and it doesn't have to stay on the whole time either.

I use my Emerson Research clock/radio :)
When I unplug it and plug it back in.. it automatically sets the time and alarms :)
Unfortunately.. that makes my clock/radio 10x better than a DS... pitty too.. could have been a much better system (the DS, not my clock).

When you leave it plugged in all night, doesn't that charge up the battery?
I wonder if charging up the battery continuously like that is such a good idea?

It shouldn't as I have left mine charging for 3 months straght.

My normal alarm clock doesn't even wake me up 95% of the time, so I'm thinking this one's a no go, unless maybe I attach headphones to the DS and myself and it beams extremely loud beeps/music to my ears. :/

I've never used the alarm on it but that's mainly because I never really use an alarm clock!
I can't believe that, so far, the majority of folk didn't even know it had an alarm built in! RTFM!! LOL

I've used it once, just for the heck of it. It's nice to know my DS can be used as something other than a GBA player...

For those who are curious, yeah, the DS alarm is reliable. When the alarm function is on, the unit goes into low-power mode. The wake-up sound is like a digital cricket that gradually gets louder and louder.
Oh, and don't forget to turn the volume all the way up, or at least close to it.
Also, having the DS plugged into the AC adapter for an extended period of time does no harm. To see for yourself, just watch the battery indicator: It will say when it's charging and whatnot. So, no. It won't charge for months. LOL
The DS alarm can be started from the main menu (in manual boot mode) or from the options menu. It has to be set from the options menu, though.
I do not recommend using the alarm if you value your sleep and don't trust your self-discipline: When that menu pops up with 2 games available, it's real easy to say "just one more game..."

I didn't even know that thing had an alarm. I am a pretty heavy sleeper, so I doubt it would wake me up. One time these two girls slept at my house and we set the cell phone for like 5 o clock so they can go home when it goes off. Wasn't loud enough so they slept through it. My mom and dad just watched them walk out of the house like who are they?

lol....yea it helps to have the volume up high....as i found out today since i didn't hear it...but i wake up at 10 am at the latest everyday. but i like how the alarm starts off quit and then goes higher...good design so nobody smacks the shit out of their DS thinking its a normal alarm clock. its fine for me, but i would like to here anybodies feedback when they use it for the first time...
p.s. side note...i never knew the NGPC had an alarm on it LOL

I've used it.
I found out about it when i was changing my Nickname on the DS. I figured "Well, why not?" And gave it a try.
I remember one time i forgot to turn the volume up on the DS, So i didn't wake up on time. LOL

I've used it a good bit. I can be over at a friends house and if I crash on his couch I can set it beside me and turn on the alarm. And just FYI if you ignore the alarm it will cut off and go into auto snooze mode and go off about 9 mins later and continue that untill you wake.
The only thing that gets me is mine is in military time, maybe I'll dig around and see if there is an option to set it to standard, I've been too lazy to look.
