ok so i was at my local thrift shop this morning when i was browsing through the stacks of sports and other scratched up ps1 games when i notied a odly colored nes cart stickin out, so of course i picked it up at first thinking it was some kinda of boot cart.

The cart it self is a us nes style case but the plastic is much lighter then other us carts, all the labels look official, just a lil diffrent, but deff not crappy like boot stuff usually is. the cart is for pinball and at the bottom it reads "asian verison" with some asian writing below it, also it reads NES-PN-ASI

i was just wondering whats the deal with this? is it official also wouldn't the asian version be a famicom game? im just curious about what i found : ]

Official Asian release. Many early games seemed to have an Asian release (they had the NES in Asia), but I think that due to piracy Nintendo quit publishing Asian versions of NES games.

I saw multiple asian copies of Duck Hunt and tetris in the Netherlands in the begin of the ninteies, so I think it's legit as well.

Were these released anywhere other than Korea? I remember hearing quite some time ago that these carts were Korea releases, but the rest of Asia got these too?
