BESIDES RIVER CITY RANSOM, streets of rage, final fight and Double Dragon games :)

Looking for REALLY good ones that are less popular...

just wondering what else was out there that I might not know about (which is very likely,lol) I just picked up a loose copy of Two Crude Dudes or at least that's what I thought it was called :) I really am having fun with it....

so just wondering, what are the other hidded two player beat-em ups out there? (not talking fighting games....for like a streets of rage or final fight)

looking at the nes/sms and snes/gen generations of gaming.....

so what's out there? That's FUN! maybe a bit inovative? anything?

it's a seperate game. I don't really have any good ones to add at this moment but make sure you stay away from SNES duds Tuff E-Nuff and Rival Turf at all costs.

Mighty Final Fight is only one-player. It's a super deformed version of the arcade game, just with entirely different levels. All the characters are there. It's my fave NES B-E-U, yes, even with RCR.

Growl is a great Genesis game, though you really need to play the arcade version.

Captain America got a solid port on the Genny, but again, the arcade game is the way to go.

Can't forget about all three Golden Axe's on the Genny. Three has always been under-rated to me.

Stay away from Target Renegade on the NES. Same goes for Renegade.

Edit: Brew, Tuff-E-Nuff is a one-on-one fighter. Rival Turf sucks, but Brawl Brothers (sequel) is great. The third one, Peace Keepers, is weak. And this is supposed to be Genesis and NES only. ;)

I agree about all of the tmnt stuff and river city ransom but battletoads/double dragon is a personal favorite of me. Great multiplayer game.

I would have to say TMNT... Those games sucked away so much time back in the NES days.

I'd definitely recommend the TMNT games, and also Double Dragon 1/2. IMO, DD3 is so hard it's not any fun at all. 8-)

I didnt find DD3 hard acctualy. Only place in the game that sux is on the last level when you have to do the jumps. If you miss you die, kinda sux. Last boss is also easy, just use the ninja guy and do the sumersault jumps to beat the boss easy. But a really nice game! :)

Ah.. I have played through Mighty Final Fight on NES, but never thought about it was only 1 player. Also a nice game, cool music too :)

Played tmnt 2 nes and double dragon II as well....both really fun games!


I got sucked back into Gun Smoke and Gun Nac...Those shooters are great fun :)

Although they aren't groundbreaking with original gameplay there are a few Snes sleeper BEUs, King of the Dragons, a pretty fun Medieval brawler, Legend is not too bad either, not phenomenal, but worth the few bucks it costs if you can find it, last but not least, there is a King Arthur game too that's pretty decent, albeit a hard game to finish.
