This maybe a crazy Animal Crossings question...

I found an Animal Crossings memory card for at a Game Rush. I wanted to copy the Animal Crossings game save from one of my other memory cards over to the Animal Crossings memory card. In the gamecube memory card screen when I click on the Animal Crossings game save and then try to select "copy" I get the message "save cannot be copied". The game save size is small enough to save to the new Animal Crossings memory card but I cannot do it. Does anyone know why?

I'm going to guess so that you couldn't take the train into your own town.

I don't know of the answer, however I know that this isn't the only game that does that. Pokemon Colloseum won't let you copy your save, as well as Medabots Infinity. I'm sure there are more, as well.

Hmm

There are two types of animal crossing memory that is stored.

One is the complete town. This takes up an entire memory card.

The other is a travelling memory. You get your character on to the train and then save your character. This character can only visit other towns though. You can't copy this temp file.

If you want one of your characters to visit the other town plug both memory cards in with yours being first. Then go to the other. Be careful though as some of your towns characters will go with you :)

Animal Crossing data is locked onto the memory card. It's impossible to transfer it.

Supposedly one of those "Action Replay" devices will allow you to copy it.
