Background info:
When the NES was first released in 1985, Nintendo did not have the manufacturing capibility set up to make large numbers of NES 72-pin boards.
Therefore, many of the first batch of NES games made in 1985 were, in fact, the 60-pin famicom version. Nintendo put a large 60 pin - 72 pin adaptor directly into the NES case. The games looked just like regular NES cases, but wieghed significantly more.
Excitebike, Gyromite, Duck Hunt and Super Mario Bros. Are all believed to have a version with this adaptor board in it. Gyromite and Excitebike seem to be the most common.

Anyway, I have one of these carts for sale. It is a 5-screw Gyromite. I can provide pictures if nessisary. I'm looking for $20 shipped.

How is it used?
I gather I will have to unscrew the cart and there will be some thing in there. But after i get the thing how do I use it to play the Jap games?

There are basically two ways you can do this. The first way involves taking your famicom cart apart. You take the board out the famicom game pak and stick it into the adaptor and then close the NES cart back up.
The second way is to remove the adaptor from the cart. Basically you secure it to the famicom cart you want to use with a couple of rubber bands and stick it into your NES.
This particular cart uses regular flathead screws instead of nintendo security screws, so it lends itself to the "sticking famicom cart guts" into it method a bit better then the security bit method does.
Why would someone want to do that, and wreck a famicom cart? Well, I have a second cart I've done that to. It was a famicom multicart. Now I can play it flawlessly on my NES. I imagine that will probably be what the person who buys this gyromite cart will do.

I've never found an Excitebike with them inside. IMO Gyromite and Duck Hunt are the two most common ones with them in it besides Stack Up.

Wrecking Crew's may have them also. Mine does.
