Seems like the price of the n-gage has finaly come down, now you no longer haveto subscribe to anything or do rebates to save money, heres the link to EB games:

I myself will still be waiting for the price to fall, but I do want to play that elder scrolls game badly!

This is old, old, old news, but either way I really need to buy another one. I bought my QD from someone here and it already broke. :(

Oh I thought it was new becuase not even a week ago the N gage was going for $200 but you had to do a rebate on it. Just checked EB today and its a solid $99. How long ago on the price change?

The EBgames where I live states that the phones are locked to Cingular Wireless. Can anyone verify this?

My original QD was a T-Mobile model I bought from Gamestop. It was not locked but it was preconfigured for T-Mobile. While I was able to set everything up for AT&T I was not able to delete everything as some things were "locked". I have never heard of a QD being totally locked to a carrier, but I could be wrong. This little program works like a charm for Nokia's. I've unlocked several phones--no problem. So maybe if it really is "locked" you can try this (http://www.unlockme.co.uk/dct4free.html).
DCT4 unlocker (http://www.unlockme.co.uk/dct4free.html).

the price drop was anounced some time ago but it didn't go into effect until maybe few weeks ago.
all the $99 versions I've seen have come in Cingular blister packs. that's all i can say about that.
anyone who was on the bubble about the N-Gage now would be a great time to jump on board since EBgames is selling some of the top N-Gage games for $5 right now. so you could start your N-Gage collection for $129 and get the unit and 6 games for the system (3 of them easily being the top 3 for the system)
