Yeah it looks promising, it definatly has a well defined style about it. I also say this in a PS2 summer release list. I thought this was going to be Game Cube only?

O_O who said it's delayed? i'm in the process of interviewing goichi suda and the dev team, and according to the e-mail i got earlier today (well, yesterday) i have to hurry to get my questions in by this weekend so they can get everything translated and back to me before the 16th of june... i guess they haven't gotten the news yet, LOL

i wish it was gonna be gamecube only. I also heard that Capcom is having alot of trouble with RE4 for the ps2. It was something about how the graphics on the cube are much better than the graphics on the ps2 version.

Thats whats on ign for the release date. Game informer shows it's release is June 6th, so they only pushed it back 1 month but still, new entertainment.

I read it was going to be pushed back until July 7th... for the sole reason that Killer 7 would be released on the seventh day of the seventh month. Very funny, Capcom.

Also, 2005=7 (2+0+0+5)??? Gee, I hope they don't make a game called Killer 2-29 or something like that! :)

Anyone remember the original trailer for this game, revealed in 2002, with a promise of a release for "Winter 2003?" At the same press conference, Capcom revealed the first trailer for Resident Evil 4 with a 200? at the end.

Yep, I am also bummed! But just look how well Resident Evil 4 turned out with all those damn delays it had.

Good news!

Despite the delay, it's gotten some decent reviews so far.

Famitsu gave it 9, 9, 8, 10 - (36/40)

I don't know if that is for the GC or PS2 version, but I'm definitely looking forward to it now.

from what i've been able to gather so far, BOTH versions are the same quality. it's not like the visuals are taxing to the ps2 hardware, lol.

Geist is the one that's killing me. How long has that goddamn game been in production? And now I see Starcraft: Ghost is back to first quarter of '06. What's been in the oven longer?

well, ghost has gone thorugh i think two developers, but now that blizzard has bought swingin' ape, the game is back on track. i DO hope the game doesn't have some on the minor issues that metal arms had.

as for geist (interesting that both games have ghost as titles given that they both almost vanished completely, lol)- well, i guess it's not going to be ready 'til it's ready. i think it'll be one of those games that takes so long to get done that some of the innovations it promised will be old hat when it's released, lol. still, it should be fun to play.

I've been following this one for a while, and it definitely looks interesting. Though, I'm still confused as to how exactly the game plays. It sort of looks like a first-person rail shooter or something. Can anyone clarify?

lol- most US gamers have never played anything by grasshopper or goichi suda (except shining soul II on the gba), so let's just say if you're expecting a traditonal action game you're going to be VERY surprised. i think based on the message board posts i've been seeing all over, as usual, people are coming into this game based on the blood and violence thinking it's some sort of super-cool cel-shaded devil may cry, when in fact it's suda and grasshopper at their most creative point to date.

killer 7 is a weird mixture of pc adventure game point/click and arcade style rail shooting sequences. it's tough to categorize or try to do the usual "it's like so-and-so" crap because there isn't anything to compare the game to at all unless you played the silver case on the ps one or its sequel, flower, sun, rain on the ps2 take those and add the really bizarre enemies and shake well. even then, the only thing that's consistent between all three titles is suda's twisted reality and some interesting characters, puzzles, and lots of violence. it seems he has a thing for guns, lol.

anyway, i'd say the game is delayed probabaly due to capcom wanting to get the word out more on the gameplay. i know i heard some reports from a friend at e3 that people were playing for about 2 minutes and walking away because it wasn't what they expected- which makes someone like me want it all the more, lol.

I was hoping Killer 7 would be like Snatcher, with a weird as hell art style and better action gameplay segments. So this sounds pretty darn good to me (and I'm semi-familiar with Suda's prior stuff, but only through reading about it).
