View Full Version : My little Wall (not quite room) of Doom -not 56k friendly

Yup, with kids running around and stuff I don't quite have my own room of doom yet (and I've yet to convince my wife that our bedroom would be the perfect spot for it), however I do have my own WALL OF DOOM! So here are a few pics for anyone interested.

Well, here it is. The pride and joy. 1,107 games in all their shining glory. There's a bunch of stories behind alot of these games but we'll leave that for another day.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/SimplyDave/100_3985.jpg

My small Gameboy collection. Some of these games belong to my son. Like the 8,000 Pokemon games. At least he enjoys them.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/SimplyDave/100_3957.jpg

Most of my boxes are stored in our attic, but I keep a few of my faves here:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/SimplyDave/100_3992.jpg

This shelf houses my Intellivions, Playstation 1 and Dreamcast games. Notables include Diner, Hover Force, Pole Position, Bangai-O, Mars Matrix, Tech Romancer, Einhander, Castlevania: SotN (original) Thousand Arms and the great Dance Dance Revolution (which the wife and I have been known to play on many a occasion).

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/SimplyDave/100_3993.jpg

My collection of 181 Super Nintendo games. Notables include Chrono Trigger, Fun N' Games, Earthbound, Final Fantasy III, Super Mario RPG, EVO, Secret of Mana, Breath of Fire II, Lufia, Aerobiz Supersonic and Captain Commando.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/SimplyDave/100_3995.jpg

My small Atari 2600 stash. My kids and I have been known to bust out Bowling and Human Cannonball on Friday nights. Not many notables here but I do have a copy of Miner 2049er complete with the box, manual and registration card. That has to count for something. Or not.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/SimplyDave/100_4000.jpg

Some guides. If they're cheap, I pick em' up.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/SimplyDave/100_4001.jpg

And here are the games for what is probably my favorite system, the NES. 402 games at the moment and always increasing. Notables include Bubble Bobble 2, Snow Brothers, Tengen Tetris, Little Samson, Bonks Adventure, Ducktales 2, Dragon Warrior 1-4, Lolo 1-3, Contra Force, Mega Man 1-6, Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man (Namco) and North & South.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/SimplyDave/100_4007.jpg

Nintendo Power, issues 1-50, mostly in mint condition with multiples of almost every copy (for some damn reason).

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/SimplyDave/100_4035.jpg

My small but growing Sega Master System collection.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/SimplyDave/100_4037.jpg

Here are my Genesis and Nintendo 64 carts. Some of the better ones are Gunstar Heroes, Shining Force, Master of Monsters, Toe Jam & Earl, Harvest Moon 64 and Paper Mario (one of my faves).

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/SimplyDave/100_4040.jpg

The Gameboy games. Original, Color, Advance; a little something for everyone in the family.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/SimplyDave/100_4042.jpg

Our Playstation 2 and Gamecube games. As much as we like the classics, a lot of these get played up a consistent basis. Notables include Gitaroo Man (sealed), Disgaea (sealed) and the game my kids play over and over and over again, Mario Party 4.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/SimplyDave/100_4045.jpg

And there you have it. My own little wall of doom. I hope you enjoyed the pics as it was fun for me to do a photo shoot of this stuff.

Thats very nice. I hope to eventually get a half or even a quarter of the amount of SNES and NES games you have. Right now I only have like 15 for each.

Awesome man, looks great to me.

Also, what Genesis box is that, I can't see what sticker is on the side, looks weird.

But yeah, heh, I think the 'wall' of doom looks great.

I'm curious, several of your carts seem to be in plastic baggies?

Nice organization there!

This is one of the better ____ of Dooms that I've read. You took all the right pictures, without too many, all of which are at good resolutions (not too big or small). Plus, the room itself is so organized. It must be easy finding games when you want to play.

I'm curious, several of your carts seem to be in plastic baggies?
Heheh. I keep a lot of carts in baggies. It's like an instinct for me.

As someone who loves organization/cleanliness as much as collecting, I salute you!

You have a great collection. I especially like your game boy and game cube stuff. Makes me want to buy more games for those systems. I also like the idea of pushing all the bookcases together to put boxes on top. I think I'll do that with my stuff considering I have my boxes scattered all over the house right now.

What are the 2 Red SNES Carts?

The top one is Doom and I'm guessing the other one is Maximum Carnage.

That would be a model 2 Genesis box with Sonic and Knuckles included. I also have another Genesis Model 2 box with Sonic 2.

Nice Wall of Doom you have there. Does your kids try to touch any of it?

Of course, but I have no problem with that. In fact, I encourage them to play the classics along with all the new games.

Nice organization there!

I've bought numerous sealed NES/SNES games. If it's a common title not worth anything, I open it up, take out the fresh baggie and put it on one of my rarer/more expensive games.

I actually have more on the way and I will probably be selling some in the very near future. We might be able to work something out. I'm also open to trading since I am more interested in getting games then receiving cash.

LOL, no it's just sitting on top of another box.

I like your setup a lot. Very clean and organized, and is easily something I could get my wife to say yes to when I start organizing my small and slowly growing collection. She saw the rooms on this site and freaked out :D
