View Full Version : anyone decent at eternal darkness? i'm confused

trying to beat the second form of the guardian (the three-legged eggbeater faced thing that guards the artifact in the checkboard room during the ww1 mission).
i've been following gamefaq's strategy, but none of the spells since to be hitting him. any hints?

If we are thinking of the same boss... I've been stuck on it forever. I gave up a long time ago though.

use a level three damage area spell( opposite alignmment to the boss), dodge his attacks and kill everything he spawns.... repeat. Also keep moving, stand still only when your casting your spell

dont recall how i beat him but i didnt have any trouble. I blew through the game fairly quickly.

I got pretty far in this game as I recall...
Then I accidently erased my game save!!! I havent been able to play it since.

That boss is a complete bitch, had to get my friend to kill it for me
Fantastic game, just a little bit TOO scary.

if that's the big thing that spawns enemies as a wall of energy gets smaller behind you, that's probably the "hardest" boss in the game, imo... but you'll be more used to his antics the second and third time you play through the game... which you'll need to do to see all the ending variants. i ended up going through the game five times just for fun. you'll start making magic spells faster on the second play through because you'll know what the runes say and can come up with a few spells earlier on.
