Buffing compounds for GB or any plastic screens

Any one know of some off the shelf items, ie: available at WalMart/Canadian Tire/Home Depot that can buff out scratches and nicks on the plastic screens of handhelds and GB's and not leave it all "hazy" from micro-scratches from the abrasive ? I guess some special cloth to buff is also required ?

Looking for the shiny smooth surface like new look without having to order things from speciality sites.
