I saw this game today and I need some info on it. It was in a sega genesis cart and it was Mortal Kombat but on the left margin it said MEGADRIVE. Info please.

MEGADRIVE is what the Genesis was called in Europe and Japan. I'm assuming that you have the European version or else you'd also be asking about all those funny looking squiggles on the case.
If it plays fine on your Genesis, then I imagine there shouldn't be much difference between the Euro and U.S. versions, unless there were some regional changes due to all of the controversial spine-ripping violence.

There's no region lock in MK1, so it'll happily play on a Genesis.
