RF cables/AC adapters repairable? (nes & snes)

I've been going through and testing all my excess nes and snes systems and have found quite a few of my rf cables and ac adapters to be nonfunctioning. Are these repairable in any way? I'm sure it's the cables, as I've switched them out along with different systems to make sure. Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

Gah, I only did a search for "RF", my profuse apologies omnedon! I suppose AC adapters just need to be replaced.

So what about the RF adapters? Fiddled around with them? :)

I have had quite a few Genny RF adaptors and a couple NES RF adaptors go out on me before because the wires get pulled and come off the circit board in the little box on the RF adaptors. I just bust the little boxes open, find the detached wire, figure out where it goes, and resoder or sometimes hotglue it back on. It is also possible to have a short in the wire, a damaged place in the insulation. check for this as well.

Thanks for the reply! I didn't notice any pulled wires, so I guess it's inside somwhere. When you said "bust open" did you mean you actually have to break it to get inside?

Most of the time, the boxes do not have any screws or anything, so you just have to be careful and take something, like a flathead screwdriver maybe (I got this weired, curved, split hook type thing that I use. don't know what it's called. You just have to find something that you think will work and try it), and put is between the two halves of the exterior casing that forms the box on the RF adaptor and carefully pry it open. Most of the taime after that step, there will be one of those basic metal plates that are there to keep people for getting in there and messing with anything, remove that too. Hopefully now if anything is wrong with this part of the adaptor, you will be able to find, see, and fix it. Most of these boxes on the RF adaptors easitly snap right back together after you are done.

Now as for not noticing any pulled wires, you can't always tell if a wire has been pulled to much from this box until you open it. Sometimes you can fell that something is a bit, 'loose', but most of the time you won't see a problem in the wires connection to the circit board until you crack the thing open and look at the circit board. Sometimes a wore may just be loose, and them I recomend sodering it back on there. If a wire is completly detached, it is usualy not to hard to figure where it goes. If you do have troble, just plug up your system and try placing the removed wire on diffrent parts of the board until you get the picture and sound back, then soder the wire back on, fix the case, and enjoy.
