What the hell are they talking about?

I saw this on the cover of the crossing guardian, I went checked it out, there was no one by the wishing well all day? Any one see this?

Pick up a new diary from the Mayor at the New Year’s gathering at the wishing well from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The pictures show the train station anoucement when you come out of your house like the new year count down, but I never saw it, only one of my town peoples mentioned going to the wishing well to make a new years wish?

It was on New Year's Day. I went over to the well and saw the Mayor and three or four other characters. The Mayor was wandering around and I got the new diary from him, and the others kept waiting in a line and tossing money into the well, then went to the back of the line and started over. I cut in front and was asked if I wanted to toss some money in. I did a few times, but nothing happened. (As far as I can tell yet, anyway.) Katrina was there too telling fortunes.

Thats strange.
There was deffinitly nothing going on in my town........... Very strange. Anyone else comment on this?

Nope, nothing happened in my town either. I was there during the correct times and no one turned up, no mayor or anything. Strange...

Having said that, a couple of the "trigger" events didn't go off either. Gracie was due to appear 31st Dec and Crazy Redd on 1st Jan and they didn't either (despite even being told this by Copper AND having a Crazy Redd flyer with that date on it!). That's what really confused the heck out of me...

Gracie was there for me redd a day or 2 later, no katrina though.
Hey I wonder if it has anything to do with your chacter being male or female?

All went as planned in my town. I even got my fortune from Katrina and that was the last piece of stationary that I needed.
