As I read that, I thought, "I need to do that..." Then I noticed that this guy is in my town... LOL
The "in process" photo was taken about a block away from the university - so I would imagine this may have been an art "project".

i think id put other stuff inside, so whoever opens them gets an actual prize. like a home-burned mix cd or something. maybe a 'poster boy' silk screened tshirt?
then youd have a good chance of seeing who bothered to open your box
