Im VERY new to the MAME scene, but I saw this pic and just wanted to ask the question...how? I saw it originally on another forum and it said "mame + old tv". I need more details! So im gonna ask the MAME experts here. :D

How can I create this?

If you're using MAME 32, go into OPTIONS>>>DEFUALT GAME OPTIONS. Click the tab for Display. There is a rotation drop down that will let you rotate the screen clockwise or anti-clockwise.

If the game looks goofy, click the advanced tab and play around with the resolution.

To do this on a TV you will need a scan converter or a video card with a video out.

There is also a program that will make Windows appear vertically. It's called Pivot Pro or something like that. I have it on my MAME box downstairs and it works really well. Of course that doesn't do you much good for horizontally oriented displays...I find SF2 and most Neo Geo games a real pain in the ass to set up on that machine.

awesome!

Just wondering if there is maybe a step by step guide or anything to this?

There are FAQs and stuff on the MAME homepage. Google MAME and you'll find a bunch of other sites. I don't know if you'll find the step-by-step FAQ you're looking for. You have to experiment a lot with MAME. I actually like the setting up process, it's kind of fun.
