I was thinking earlier, it would be awesome if someone like Troma started making games. Someone to go "we don't care what esrb rating we get, we're putting whatever the hell we want into our game and releasing it". Low-budget gaming that provides the sort of content that most companies wouldn't. I'm not sure if Troma itself would MAKE good games, but moreso I wish someone would become to videogames what Troma is to movies.

What would you like to see in a radical, ignore-the-rules developer? Would you even like to see such a thing?

A game like Human Cannonball, except where the cannon is replaced by an enormous pecker, and the water tower is a big female eyeball.

As long as they write their own instruction manuals, they're cool with me. LOL I know, I'm livin' on the edge there.

I was thinking about this the other day, and after playing with my new MVS Converter for the Neo Geo, I have come up with one solution.

I want the retail equivalent of a Jamma set-up.

I'm not talking MAME, or a Super Gun..I'm talking a game system that is for all intents just a perfect old school arcade machine that uses CD/DVD rather than the jamma boards. 6 Button joystick with optional trackball controller for all game support. Have it the exact set-up, so you even still need to insert credits (thus proving 100% perfect port/conversion) and have that drug warning screen during the loop.

You market it to the companies for cheaps. You demand that Namco gets off their lazy ass and converts over their Splatterhouse, Rolling Thunder, and vintage stuff rather than recycling the same 15 Namco Museum games. You get Capcom on the horn and give gamers the home versions of Area 88, Carrier Aces, Alien Vs Predator that they deserve, and more. Get Konami on the horn for TMNT I+II, the original arcade Contras, Bucky O'Hare, Martial Champions, and the hundred of other arcade games that are collecting dust.

You take it to the developers who are tired of the same retreads on today's system. You set-up the bare bones licensing fees and tell them to have a ball. Design whatever you want, when you want. Hell, make a Yaroze type device for it, just for kicks. Just bring back the magic of constantly new things that is slowly dying as the video game market trudges on.

Screw the next-gen systems, I'd have that thing in a heart beat!

I dunno.

Maybe if they made a game set in WWII they would have the balls to actually put a Swastika in the game.

I find it amusing that you can play a WWII game in which peoples heads are blown off but when a Stukka comes screaming down it is missing the historical markings so it wont offend anyone. The Japanese meatball is ok though, go figure.

I think you could run a game by the ESRB about Albino Lesbian Cannibals that use high velocity sperm cannons to decapitate elderly people for crack money and they would send it back saying the swastika on Albino Cannibal lesbian warrior number 768.3's left arm has to be removed before we approve the game for retail.
