Although I'd probably never find anyone who could do it in my little 'hodink" town; please tell me where, and who you see about framing a magazine and keeping it intact. I'd LOVE to do that with my 1st issue of Next Generation.
Those ARE sweet.. now I don't feel so bad about what I paid for it. Good luck.. I'd bite if I had that much disposable income laying around.

Bags Unlimited (http://www.bagsunlimited.com/cart/detail.asp?product_id=acomfkgw) carries something similar for Comics. Not quite large enough for Magazines. They just snap together. They look pretty cool though. They're also UV protected & acid free mats.
I think these mags look nice in the auction, but I'd guestimate a value on the mags at around $200 tops, which makes the frames $300, maybe I'm off, but I had all those Fun club news & the #1 Nintendo power, 2 variations on the NP actually. also had those other NPs. No real interest in the other mags, but I know I paid well under $100 for all the nes stuff in this lot, & I figure maybe $200 for all of it. Then the price of frames. It's a nice auction don't get me wrong. You may very well have that much or more in them all, but it seems a bit on the high side. I'd think maybe with a $250 starting bid, or break the mags up for more specific collectors to afford them.

I just want to agree on the price being undervalued. A good framing job is not cheap, no matter what it is.

that AND whens the next time you are going to find an auction with all these mags in mint/framed condition.. you are paying or the rarity. If I had $500 I would drop it in a heartbeat.
Imagine the raw value of having something like this hanging in your gameroom.. VERY VERY Tasteful touch that adds a lot to the "oooohhhh ahhhhhhhhhhhhh" factor of your room..

Really nice. Maybe at $350-$400 I could swallow it, but I don't want to be stuck eating Top Ramen for the next 2 months.

They look pretty niced all framed up like that but I unfortunately think that by framing them like that you drove the price much higher than anyone really wants to pay for a bunch of magazines.
I'm sure that if you put the magazines up for sale without the frames at a more reasonable price they'd sell right away.

Mycarsucks, my advice to you would be to keep them. Sell them for much less than 400+shipping and you'll really be going into the red. Hold on to them!

Yeah and to be quite honest anyone who would buy retro mags would probably want to READ them... kind of hard to do that when framed :P I agree the framing did jack that price up way probably too high for most people's tastes. (Thank god I got most of those except the Nintendo Fun Clubs...otherwise I'd probably be somewhat intrigued :P)
