so i was just curious with a panasonic q is it possible to play backed up games on regular size dvds? also is there a diffrent mod chip that needs to be used, mine can play all region stuff i was curious to know if that included backups also?

That's the Q, Poop, not an actual Cube. It plays DVDs and all that fancy stuff. Great looking system.

Poop, yes, the cube has been fully cracked and modchippable. Both the Q and the normal Gamecube.

if you chip the q though will it be able to play gc backups on full size dvds? also if my Q will already play all region games/dvds does that mean its already modded to play backups and such?

I have 2 Panasonic Q's , both with Viper Mod-Chips and both are region modded.
The mod-chips are installed the exact same way as a regular Gamecube. The Q's have the exact same motherboard as a rgular Cube. You just don't hook up the lid sensor switch, it's not needed.
And yes the Q will run back-ups off of full size DVD's with no problem.
Be aware that it is a lot more complicated getting the Q apart to get to the motherboard where you solder the wires. It's not to be attempted unless you're good at modding. ;)
