I'll start off this thread, because I didn't see one yet. Anyways, I went to a friend's house at 2 in the morning, and he gave me a Project Gotham Racing 2! I wanted one, and I got one. Anyways, it's small, but sweet.

Someone should seriously dig through the "Finds" threads and just make one big post that shows every find Cauterize has ever posted, just to highlight the sheer ridiculousness of the quantity of stuff he comes across.

Today i went to work and found a box on my desk,i looked in it and there were 6 complete NES games! :)
At work people know i collect NES stuff and a mega sweet collegue went digging into old stuff, she came up with these games.
She said that i could have it for free, that i would take care better of them then she would,it's cool because i didn't expect it to happen.
Normally when you talk about game stuff people say they check but you don't here that much afterwards.

I made some money over the weekend (HS Graduation), so I went thriftin' and damn near struck out. Out of five thrifts, I only found one thing:
Super Solvers Midnight Rescue! (Macintosh)
The box is beat to hell, and you may be asking, "What's so great about an old Learning Company game?" I loved this game when I was in elementary school, and I couldn't remember what it was called. The one I played was set in a TV station (If anybody has this for sale, please let me know), and this one is set in a School, but it made my day for $1.53 :D
And I also got a new copy of GunGriffon Blaze for $2.99, and a loose copy of Kickle Cubicle for $4.99 at Gamecrazy.

It was a nice day, so I decided to go out for a drive. Ended up making a couple of stops.
http://www.rydia.net/joshnickerson/dp/wk0613.jpg
Got Mega Man 64 from a far off Gamestop I rarely go to. The clerks are rather annoying, but it's the only GS I've found that actually keeps the boxes for cartridge games. The box was a little beat up, but everything inside was freshy mint! It even still had the NP subscription ad and the game registration card!
Then I stopped at a small pawn shop, and picked up Shadow of the Beast for a friend of mine. Then I noticed that there were a bunch of NES controllers in a bottom shelf behind a glass door. I would've never seen them if it weren't for the tell-tale red buttons. I dug around for a while and found a NES MAX. Then I found the strangest thing... a gold NES controller, with adjustable turbo functions and a headphone jack! You could plug it into the audio out on your NES and use headphones! I've never seen anything like it before, and from the copyright info on the back, Hudson Soft made it.
So not a bad outcome for a spur of the moment drive. :)

Fellow DP forum member k8track and his fiance ended up coming through town, so the three of us went thrifting. I picked up about half a dozen boxed Genesis games (will have to edit in a minute to find out what they were). I also found three NIB C64 games including Hacker II, and a big-ass sack of about 100 C64 diskettes which include mostly pirated diskettes but quite a few originals like Ikari Warriors, Double Dragon, Jeopardy, Summer Games, and more.

nothing yet, but a small story with a future yield. I had a break between my English final and a math test today, so I threw my game.com in the pocket of my bag (most people had never seen one before and I thought I'd get a reaction or at least history lesson in, heh). So anyway, it ended up sparking a discussion about "old games" (namely the N64, SNES, original Gameboy, etc. Ah, today's public :P ). My friend said that he used to love his SNES but one day it broke. Offered to try and fix it but he said he threw it out years ago, but still had the games. I said I'd buy them from him and he said I could have them. He said he'd get them for me by next week. Don't know what or how many are coming, but SCORE!
Also, this discussion re-kindled an offer I had made my other friend a while back about buying his gamegear, charger, and four games. We'll see how it turns out. I'll post again when I know more.

Lets see, the Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes for Japan Dreamcast was $1.99
The three NES games were $4.99 total, the 2 boxed ones are complete.
The red book is called Pinball by Gary Flower and Bill Kurtz and cost me $3.99. It looks pretty cool, too bad there is no dust cover on it.
And as a special bonus for me, Eddie Murphy's Delerious stand up movie. I haven't seen this in 10 years at least, and since no DVD release is coming anytime soon, I had to buy it. :)

My Sonic Adventure 2 10th Anniversary came in the mail today. I was skeptical as the auction had no pics, but it came mint with the outer box, game in inner case, and the fold-out with the soundtrack and coin. $12 shipped... it made my day.

Not much for me so far. Cheap finds are rare here. :(
I did pick up a gameboy camera for $3 today though. The store couldn't sell it for $5 and marked it down. They had it sort of hiding in the case on the very bottom in the very back, with the price hiding. It's battery backup works fine still. It still had a picture on it. LOL

From what I remember, the gold controller was the Joycard Sansui SSS by Hudson Soft (I think I've got the name right, but I'd have to go dig out an old magazine to confirm). I think it was supposed to do something special with the sound (like shift it left/right with directional movement or something), but I've never used one personally.

went to my local salvos today. on the counter for $1 each was
- A2600 HES 2-pak of Riddle of the sphinx and Laser Gates MIB
- the rare C64 HES Frogger MIB (!!! --- it's rated an R7 on these boards)
needless to say i picked 'em up. the guy at the counter then says to me "oh, you like old games, eh? i've got some amiga stuff out the back".
for an extra $10 i got
- fully working and great condition Commodore 1084S monitor.
- about 100 Amiga games (most are copies, and sensible soccer was missing from it's box  )
- an amiga and c64, neither work that well, but i tested the cables and they work -- so i'll keep 'em for spares for my own C64 and amiga.
pretty good day all up :)

caut, yes i agree the SS is the best football game ever. i want it on either amiga or SNES, and although they're easy enough to find on either format , the game keeps avoiding me.
it just doesn't exist in this country, and i don't wanna have to spend $30 to ship out a SNES copy from the UK.
but i guess i'll cave eventually LOL

Didn't find much but while going to the local game store (ironically the EB Games I went to first only has the current-gen games in the pre-played bin now)
Anyways I got:
A Sega Game Gear (this one had a near immaculate screen unlike the other one I picked up a few months ago! Plus this one actually had battery covers on the back.) for $14.95
Chicago Syndicate (weird little Game Gear game using the Gangster character from Eternal Champions) for $1.95 (loose unfortunately)
Now that I'm starting to get settled in my new house I may venture out a little more to look!

Once again taking advantage of the Blockbuster trade-in deal (hurry kids, now expires on 6/20/05!), got what looks to be a never used copy of Doom 3 for the Xbox for the effective price of $9.18. Now if only they'd put out a used copy of RE4!

I believe there was some sort of "fan disc" preorder bonus for the import CvS2, so that might be the additional CD you got. I remember seeing some listings for it on eBay before, but I'm far from definite. If that's the case, I'm sure it's pretty cool!

Game Cube:

If you are wondering, P.N. o3 is a really cool game. I hadn't heard anything about it, but it is really cool. Metroid (yes, 2) was at Sears. They had it mispriced, and as soon as the manager saw it, he ripped the sign down in disgust, and told me it was my lucky day. Ha ha!

I'm the king of Megadrive, baby.. well, almost.
Stopped at my local pawnshop, and they had a bunch of new Megadrive games out.. for $AUS5 each! All of these have the manuals and are in tip top shape:
http://www.iinet.net.au/~coleman/mdkaching.jpg
The games include:
Populous
Populous 2: Two Tribes
Another World
Flashback
Thunderforce 2 (a spare, I won one on eBay)
LHX Attack Chopper
Urban Strike
Dune 2 Battle for Arrakis (I have a spare of this now as well)
Syndicate
Man Overboard!
Road Rash
Zero Tolerance
Finally picked up Luigi's Mansion for $AUS20 complete, and a brand new PS2 controller for $AUS10 that's supposed to be good for first person shooters..
Also got an album and a few CD singles in, but nobody cares about that (The Butterfly Effect, Prodigy, Mylo, Fortran 5, Dizzee Rascal and Ash)
Finally,
here's (http://www.iinet.net.au/~coleman/mdcollection.jpg) a pic of my burgeoning MegaDrive collection.. well, my second collection - why did I sell off the first one? I put it up to eating too many paint chips as a child.

We're opening a new floor at the office tomorrow, so a lot of people are packing up their stuff to move. The guy in the office next to me put out a load of stuff he didn't feel like packing and stuck a "FREE" sign on it. So I salvaged a couple of Pokemon squishy toys and a Logitech Wingman Cordless USB controller. Hopefully I'll be able to score some more goodies over the next few days.

I stopped by a pawn shop while I was in the next town over from where I live and I found a PS1 WITH the 5" LCD screen and a dual joystick controller, AC plug and A/V cables for $35.00. It looks and plays like new...VERY VERY clean. It totally made my day. :D
