Ok, last night I was reading that old GameFan issue when they went on and on about how the Japanese version of Sonic CD as Soooooooooooo much better because it had way better music, and the music suited the game better, blah, blah, blah.

Now, the question is....

What do I have to do to my Sega CD to be able to play this damn game?

try with Datel import cart though not sure it works...
otherwise play with patching region coding of JPN rip...

Just download the JPN Iso and patch it like dj898 says, will be a lot easier...

Then keep the JPN Sonic CD in mint condition for display :P

I use a cartridge device called CD-X. With this in the Genny slot you can play all of the Mega Drive CD games.

Actually I use my LaserActive to play Mega Drive games as the Sega module is region-free.

CD-X only works on selected few consoles...
it won't work on JVC Wondermegas nor Sega Wondermega...

Burn rips and conveters have been mention all ready.

The only other thing i can think of is having a, region mod done on your Sega Cd.

Yes - and I'm surprised you own one and haven't hooked it up, what the heck were you waiting for?

But he said in his initial post that he's got a Sega CD.

apparently Sega WOndermega's BIOS is different from other Sega MegaDrive variants...

CD-X only works with specific BIOS...
