Well I got a email today from some promoting website, anyways i want to hear your ideas, thanks in advance

NEWEST LEGEND OF ZELDA EPIC AT EB!!!

What's Up Ricardo...

Are you down with Zelda? Do you love dogs?

EB Games and Nintendo are teaming up for two big titles for the GameCube and the DS. Similar to the excellent ideas you shared about Nintendo's Pokemon, we would like to hear how you would promote Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Nintendogs.

If you're not familiar with these titles, please check out their trailers (in the 'Related Media' section of the page) to get an idea what they're about.

We've got 25 dollar EB Gift cards for the 2 Teamers with the best ideas!

Sure I'm Down With Zelda, And Of Course I love Dogs!!!

Much Respect,

Roger & Ryan

Good luck trying to promote Nintendogs...

Honestly, I don't know who this game is supposed to appeal to. It's not cartoony enough for kids and most people that I know think it looks stupid (myself included).

nintendogs apeals to the animal nutheads

the people that rather save a dying animal rather than the dying kid lying next to it.

i know a chick like that - and she knows more chicks like that.

there are also wierdo guys in my area that are like that also.

i have seen those kind of people inqureing about this dumb game in the video game stores.

personaly i think that this game will sell because of this.

i can also see it being a system seller - for all those crasy animal lovers

my friends wife is crazy about this game and shes not a gamer.

it will sell -- im surprised they havent come up with this kind of malarchy before.

you wont see me playing it - but eventualy i will have it just for colection purposes. when its in the bargain bin.

Here's an idea:

Get a bunch of chickens and dress them up like link, Zelda and other characters from the game. Next put the chickens in a helicopter, fly the helicopter over your local mall or downtown area and then, after an announcement, toss the chickens from the helicopter.

Chickens can fly, right? :)

Anyway, I heard a similar promotion like this was a big hit in Cincinnati.

This is, of couse, crazy talk.

What you REALLY need is an interesting character with a catchy phrase to promote the game. So let's take Nintendogs for example. Get yourself an old lady to say something like "Where's the Beef?", then cut to a hamburger patty, then cut to a dog with a circle cut out of its side. HAW HAW!

Along the same lines, get some urbanites to have a phone conversation where they keep saying "WHASSSSSUUUUUUP", and then have the final person in the scene be Link! HAR HAR HAR!

See? You need only extract ideas from the past to make that $25 jump into your present.

Crazy talk you say? How about this then:

For a limited time "Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" and "Nintendogs" are for sale at half price! That's right, HALF THE NORMAL PRICE!!!! Why you ask? Because we're INSANE!!!!

There's crazy talk for you.

Nice thanks Ideas have been submitted. But really these guys are crazy and usually make swag only. Maybe chickens dressed as Link keychains?

NO wait! Swag you say?

How about Link dressed as a BANDICOOT! With Link-Bandicoot keychains?! YES! My god who wouldn't buy that.

Holy hamburger patties, Space Fury!

Hillarious idea. Anybody else remember the ads in NP for game guides with Bowser's head on a plate (around 1997)?

Maybe chickens dressed as Link keychains?

Do you mean keychains of chickens dressed as Link, or chickens costumed in such a way as to resemble Link keychains?

A chicken that looks like a keychain! Now that I'd like to see!

Have hotdogs for sale, but refer to them as "links". Try to dye them green. Hot dogs you can't die green can be called dogs, per the Nintendogs angle.

Make everyone in the store wear green tights so everyone hates you and your idea, including customers.

Give away a free dog from the ASPCA when pre-ordering Nintendogs.

Put "wee-wee pads" around the store and encourage customers to use them.

I need coffee.

Heh, that's quite smart - why bother paying for some expensive marketing company to promote your product when you can get customers clamouring to do it by waving a $25 carrot in front of their noses?
