Ok, here is the deal. This is only available at Comp USA Good Guys! MegaStore locations. So this is not in effect at regular Comp USA stores, or regular Good Guys! stores.

Also, there are only 15 vouchers per store, so you would need to be one of the frist 14 people in line super early Friday morning to get one at this price.

The deal works like this. You need to buy 2 XBOX games. It doesn't say that the 2 XBOX games need to be any particular price. So if you can find 2 that are $9.99 each or something like that, then just do that. But you have to buy 2 XBOX games, and then when you buy the XBOX, they give you an instant discount of $100 off the price. So you end up getting the XBOX for $49.99.

Not a bad deal at all, as long as you can find two XBOX games for a cheapo price.

I would actually like to have a second XBOX system for $49.99, but unfortunately the only Comp USA/Good Guys! MegaStore near me is the one that is opening up in Roseville, CA and I won't be able to get there early enough to ensure that I'm one of the first 15 XBOX customers. They open up at 8am, and with all the deal seekers out there, you would need to be in line like 7am to be one of the first 15 people.

Anyways, thought I would give a heads up, in case anybody happens to live close to one of these Comp USA Mega Stores.

Cool, but according to their website, the closest locations to me are 3150 miles away.

Yeah, unfortunately, this is more of a West Coast thing.

Good Guys! is a West Coast chain of high end audio/video. They merged with Comp USA and the result is the new Comp USA/Good Guys! Mega Store.

Since Comp USA is National, I was thinking that maybe there would be Mega Stores all across the country.

Well anyways, hopefully some West Coast DP members can take advantage of this.

A weird side note about "Good Guys" that has no relation to the topic at hand. It's after 11pm and I'm sleepy and bored and not many other topics of interest are being repelied to right now. So bare with me. :P

You may have seen the shows on Fox or SpikeTV "World's Wildest Police Videos"... well one episode has a violant standoff in Sacramento CA with hostages at a store. They blur out red text sign on the buidling. That store happens to be a "Good Guys" and if I'm not mistaken it's the Arden Fair location. That happened a few years back (2001 or 2002 I think).

Told ya it had nothing to do with the topic at hand. LOL Anthony1's mention of Roseville just made me think of it.

Where is this advertised? I live about 4 miles from one of these in NorCal. And their normal hours start at 10 am.

I'm going to assume both games need to be $49.99 each...thus you're basically getting the two games for free, not the deck. If you can pull it off with any thing priced less, WOW.

Well, the advertisement doesn't mention that the games need to be of any specific price. Even in the fine print it doesn't mention it at all, so I don't know how they could prevent you from buying the 2 cheapest XBOX games that they have.

It's only for 15 XBOX's per MegaStore, so it's kinda like a give away thing for a promotion.

Damn, I'd be all over this...if the closest one wasn't thousands of miles away. The east coast needs love too. :( Oh well, good luck to anyone who can take advantage of this! :)

OK so it's 10 AM here on the west coast. Anyone score one of these?

Why didn't you go to the one in Roseville and stand in line at 7am?

I would have tried myself, but unfortunately no way I could get out there during that time frame.

I had to go to work, and Frankly I don't really want an X-Box all that much. I would take one if it were free, though.

I got mine.

Woke up at 5:45, showered and skipped out the door. I hit the Good Guys in Portland at 6:30 content in the fact that I would probably be one of the first five people there.

No such luck. At least 50 people in line in front of me. Having nothing else to do until work I decided to wait and see what other deals they had. By quarter to 8 there were over 300 people in line. The employees handed out vouchers for the doorbuster deals, one per customer. By act of god I ended up with the last xbox. Thank god for all those laptop and lcd monitor fans in front of me.

Greatest hits titles were fair game, but they made it clear that you couldn't by the $5 demo disks and have those count.

My day

Sudeki $19.99
Oddworld Stranger's Wrath $29.99
X box system $49.99

Total $99.97 (no sales tax in oregon)

Now I just need work to be over so I can rev it up.
