I think you're wrong.

If he really has 175,000 peices of software then it averages out at $1.14 each. Sure some shit PC titles can be worthless but so are shit console titles such as older sports. The guy does mention some interesting stuff such as Infocom games. Suspended with the mask and Starcross with the saucer can each easily fetch $100 each. Lucas Arts and Origin games are also desirable to collectors. And most of the Amiga, C64 and Atari games can probably get about at least $5 each if they're new or in mint shape.

The main issue in my mind is who has $200,000 to spend and the amount of time it will take to resell that many titles in order to make a profit.

This is also weird:

The real value of this auction is the intellectual property that accompanies the inventory.

Along with the software, the winner of this auction also gets data that describes more than 18,000 of the 20,000 titles for sale. This database is the foundation for what could be the most comprehensive software web site in the world.

What you get:

This data can be used to easily create a comprehensive web site. The winner of this auction will also own all rights to this material.

Copyright Note:
The entire contents of this Encyclopedia are copyrighted by myself. I consider this data to be extremely valuable intellectual property, and under no circumstances is it to be used in any form without written permission.

First he says you get all the intellectual property rights regarding this really valuable data about the games and at the end he claims he keeps the copyright and you need written permission from him to use the data O_O
