I was a bit disappointed because I found nothing at the flea today. I went to EB afterwards and got Midway Arcade Treasures at least. But when I came home, all the other things were waiting on my doorstep, so the day is saved :D

A good day at rummages and Blockbuster:

http://img257.echo.cx/img257/8002/sat7cl.jpg

Got a Saturn with 7 games for $10.00 at one sale, and 6 Gameboy games for 25 cents each at another! Pokemon Blue & Gold and Ms. Pacman color edition for regular Gameboy, and Harry Potter, Monsters Inc. and E.T. for GBA (my daughters are thrilled!)

With the help of some cheap games from Gray Fox's GameStop (nice to meet you Carey!) and others, I was able to pickup Resident Evil 4, God of War, Bard's Tale, and Playboy Mansion for what works out to just over $9.00 each from Blockbuster.

But the highlight of the day has to be the mint condition, still sealed CLAPPER for just $1.00! Anyone know what a sealed Clapper goes for on Ebay? ;) . Then again, I may just hook it up to the neons in my gameroom....should make Donkey Konga more interesting.

From EBGames yesterday:

http://img197.echo.cx/img197/5392/dukememcropped7wr.jpg

Ikari Warriors II
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (I can't add this into my ign collection...?)
Panzer General
NFL Blitz 2001 (I've had more fun with this football game than with any other, ever. It seriously freakin rocks :P )
Duke Nukem N64 memory card (it took a lot of convincing to get this away from my friend, who found it first lol)

Total: $20 after the edge card and the buy 3 get 1 sale.

Ok, I went and hit up about 20 or so Yardsales...and didnt get a whole lot.

Ok, so like I said, I hit around 20 sales. Most turned up nothing but junk. I asked one lady if she has any videogame stuff and she said she didn't for sale, but her husband has all the old ones (She names of Vectrex, Colecovision, Atari). Bummer.

http://img121.echo.cx/img121/6996/crap9fv.th.jpg (http://img121.echo.cx/my.php?image=crap9fv.jpg)

First sale I hit where I actually buy something is the Gameboy Pocket with 3 games. I asked the kid how much he wanted, hesitated, so I offered him $5. Score. He also had a few PS1 Sports games...but I passed.

Directly after him, I hit another one a few blocks up. This sales had a bunch of boxes GB games (all the Pokemon and Zeldas), and 2 GBA games. Mario Pinball (pretty new) and Donkey Kong Country 2. He wanted $5 for Mario, and $10 for DKC2. I grabbed Mario ($10 is a bit too much considering I have it on SNES)

Towards the end, I stumpled on a yard sales out in the ghetto. Kid had a stack of PS2 and Dreamcast ganes. He wanted $15 for each PS2 game (all 2001 sports, and a Star Wars Bounty Hunter and State of Emergency.). I passed on those, and went through his DC pile. All sports, except Sonic Shuffle, and Centipde (not pictured, rolled under my seat, argg). $1 each, not too bad.

Hit up some thrift stores, and managed to find the 3 Gaming magazines for $.10 each. Next thrift turned up the 3 Genesis games for $1 each...

Well, pretty shitty....except...
http://img121.echo.cx/img121/8458/3do4wp.th.jpg (http://img121.echo.cx/my.php?image=3do4wp.jpg)

Thank you JESUS! Seriously. I managed to find a Church having a 'raise money for wheelchairs' sale, and rummaged through everything I could see. I saw the 3D0 stashed in the corner, and ran over to grab it. Ive never actually seen a 3D0 in person. Pretty big, nicley built. $5 for it! Came with 2 controllers, built in AC, but no AV cords (no biggie, it uses generic). I went over to another room they had, and found the stack of 3D0 games. Another $5 and I was on my way! I tested it and it works great, and as always with CD based machines, another game was inside (Olympic something). If anyone is interested in buying it PM me, as I don't have room for this system.

Total spent...about $25.

So, out of 20 yard sales, I scored 3 things. I did pass on a few things (NBA Jam 32x, some PS2 sports games, Dreamcast for $20), but overall, the 3D0 score was awesome.

Weird Notes:
Man walking his Chicken with a lease.
Fat ugly women
Really hot girls who gave me their phone number and felt the need to show me what thong they were wearing (I kid you not!)

Well, it had been a pretty bad day at the sales, so I stopped by the thrift store on the way home. The thrift rarely has much of anything, but today they had just filled the case with video game stuff, and all the carts were $1.99 each. I got:

Genesis

Shadowrun [boxed]
Shining in the Darkness [complete]
Shining Force II [loose]

N64

F-Zero X [loose]

NES

Legend of Zelda [gold cart]
Mike Tyson's Punch out!
Tetris

Master System

Reggie Jackson Baseball [complete]

so, a nice salvage on my day :) The genesis games are an especially nice find. They had a lot more, I'll have to go back and look through again.

I went to several sales and found nothing. But, at the last sale I did find a big box of computer misc. for $1. It had an apple II hard drive in it, an introduction to basic parts 1 and 2, and some old computer magazines. It also had a vic-20 system in it with all the papers and 6 games including Commodore artist, jupiter lander, raid on fort knox, cosmic cruncher, gorf, and omega race. The vic-20 did not have a monitor with it so I have no idea on how to hook up a monitor of some sort. :/ Help would be appreiciated.

I believe you can use an Atari 2600 / radioshack RF switch and hook it up to your TV. At least I know you can do that with the Commodore 64, and I know the two share most of thier perepherials.

A whole lot of nothing. I went to like 5 different garage/yard sales and found zip video game wise. So to console myself I went to my favorite used game shop and grabbed a complete grandia extreme for $10.

I'm happy with that purchase but disappointed with the weekend.

Nothing videogame-wise, but I did find a NES toploader at my used game store.

I've been looking for one of these for a long time. $79.95 complete with dogbone controller. I'm glad I found one before the price went up even more. :D

Yes the vic-20 justs needs a RF adapter, any old one should do. Thats how I had mine hooked up to a TV. Enjoy the vic-20, fun stuff.

Picked up a box of Atari 2600 stuff (four-switch, plus the usual commons) today. Was a throw-in along with the Roland MT-32 MIDI module I bought at a yard sale for $10. 8-)

Doesn't the VIC-20 require an external RF modulator? I seem to remember that being a requirement, as I have a couple of original Commodore external RF modulators lying around (no built-in TV/game switch, just the usual RF phono jack).

I live in Omaha, NE and was down at the College World Series today and saw that EB had a little tent on the street in front of the stadium. I got a "Buy 1 get 1 25% off" coupon and 3 PS2 demo discs:

MLB2006 (989 Sports)
Destroy All Humans (DVD Movie??)
PS2 Quarter 1 Kiosk Disc

I think the Kiosk disc is pretty cool considering I have never had one before.

Found a store in Des Moines (Gamers, thanks to whoever suggested that). They had multiple copies of Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG (the former for only 30 bucks), but the condition on all of them were horrendous. I ended up getting:

NES-
Castlevania III - 10
RC Pro Am - 1
Shadowgate - 10
Uninvited - 10
World Games - 5

SNES-
Street Fighter II - 1

XBOX
Splinter Cell - 5

Some great prices, some less than great ones...but I think it evened out just fine.

Flea Market today..It was INSANE!!

I ran into so much gaming stuff I was sick..So much to look through and pass up..

One guy had such a truck load of misc trading card packs this I was astounded..I never saw that many boxes of trading cards in my life...Shame is,so many were dumped that lots of them were going in the garbage.
I though I had scored a whole crate of sealed Super Mario Cards but the internals of the box wasn't what it said it was.
This guy had so many piles of trading cards in boxes truck high that checking to see what was what was major Chaos..(It's like he bought out a store)
I'm hoping he has these next week as I'd like to search through what I can..

I picked up a Boxed mint Wildfire Pinball but I gave it to my dad as he took a liking to it..
http://www.miniarcade.com/pb/wildfire.htm
I picked up another smaller handheld vibrating/boxed pinball game that he liked too($2.00)...Hey,I'm not greedy..

My Best Find this year:
Two never used boxed Neo Geo Memory Cards....$5.00 Each...Score!!..I shit when I saw these..It was my second trip back to take a quick peek before leaving.
I must of cursed more then I ever did under my breath as the vendor took them over to this A-hole vendor who's prices are ridiculous to ask him about price as I offered $5 each..
In all honesty I would of paid what he wanted..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2005_0619_023955AA.jpg

All this stuff in one big box $20.00...Didn't even se the Mario Paint and Mouse in the box..(the mouse has some kind of ball protector on the bottom)..Stuff needs a good cleaning/not a problem..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2005_0619_025729AA.jpg

Picked up another Airsoft Gun..$35.00

NES Double Player Controllers $15.00(all from same guy who had a mass of stuff)
Shark Attack Atari 2600,Double Strike,3 Gamegear games $1.00 each..
SNES Super Multitap $3.00
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2005_0619_030412AA.jpg

Everything here $1-$3.00..Yep,out of all the boxed NES games the guy had I grabbed Barbie...It was just to mint to pass up.
NES :Fox's Peter Pan & The Pirates caught my eye too.
Sonic Bank..I offered a vendor $20.00 for one of these once and he passed..I got this one/same one for $3.00..lololol
Never saw SNES Wario Woods before..

Almost gave up hope yesterday at a neighborhood sale. Went to about 20 sales and nothing and finally at the last one my mom spots an n64 system and games in a box for $10 bucks. I bargined down to $8 :D and got it.

It included:

System w/memory expansion & 2 controllers
rumble pak
Mario party 3
Mario kart
donkey kong 64
ridge racer
pokemon snap &stadium
toy story 2

I already sold the Mario party for $23.99 buy it now because i already have a copy, so it turned out pretty sweet. I also never played ridge racer and heard it was good.

I officially declare pokemon snap & stadium the official combat/ super mario/duck hunt for the n64. I may also include the star wars games as a close second. I think I get those games in every collection I buy and I have bought about 15 n64 systems in the last year.

Weird Notes:
Man walking his Chicken with a lease.
Fat ugly women
Really hot girls who gave me their phone number and felt the need to show me what thong they were wearing (I kid you not!)

That is funny stuff! I honestly have to say, I usually have 3-4 messed up things happen to me every week that I go out looking for games. I think from now on in my finds, I might also add the stupid things that happened to me, because in the worst case, supposing we find nothing good, we still have our weird experiences to laugh about. :)

The flea market really came through today. After ignoring my SNES for close to half a year, I was rewarded with:

Earthbound (cart only)
Mega Man X3 (cart only)
Pocky & Rocky (complete)
Super Mario RPG (cart & inst)
Super Mario All-Stars (cart only)
Super Mario Kart (Cart only)
-$15 (Fuck Yeah!)

And for another $4 at another table I got Air Diver (complete) & Gaires (cart only) for Genesis.

A good morning for me, surely.

A Not For Resale Minish Cap I scored from eBay came in yesterday.

I was hoping it'd be the "demo" version (you know, the one that has three "demos" included), but turns out it's the full game. Oh well. Still cool to have. :D

I had an amazing flea market haul today. Check it out

http://www.thecgx.net/haul.jpg

That's right, Chavez II! And I only spent $20 on all of this. All the SNES games except for Chavez were from this one dealer, and they came with an SNES. Later on I found a guy at the flea market looking for an SNES so I sold it to him for $15, so all those SNES games were just $5! Really pumped about Brainlord and Mystical Ninja, been wanting those two for a while. Fireshark I found complete and minty at the bottom of this bin of games for $5. Chavez II was just chilling in this dude's stall, and along with Pinbot and Vanark it was $10 for the three.

Awesome day, and now I have triples of FFIII! Heh, hopefully I'll be just as lucky next week.

Finally, got a few sweet things at the flea market today:

http://img270.echo.cx/img270/1045/im0002928op.th.jpg (http://img270.echo.cx/my.php?image=im0002928op.jpg)

I finally own a Sony console, I've joined the dark side :devilish:
The PSOne package including a/v and ac cables (not pictured as I left them connected while I took the picture) and the P.O.S. GH Tekken 2 that actually works was $30.

Life Force, Super C, Marble Madness, and Super Metroid came out at $10 as the vendor sold games at $3 apiece or 4 for $10.

Not pictured (because I shut my digital camera off too quickly not letting the picture save) are four finds at EB I picked up to start off my Playstation collection. They were:

Final Fantasy Tactics (Non GH)
Front Mission 3
Neo Qix
Mega Man X6

Also, does anyone think that $35 is a good price for a complete NTSC/US Modle 2 mini-SNES. I was a tight wad today and passed on the thing when I really should of gotten it. Hope it's there next Sudnay... should of held off the Playstation one more week.

Yay for work all weekend. Anyways...

Nice finds on the Saturn stuff Goodwill, and nice to meet ya :)

Caut, Awesome finds, as usual, heh. Always getting kickass hauls. I mean, all those mags, for that cheap? Score.

Videogamerdaryll, gimme your Sonic bank!

Then finally, whoever got the THIRD FF3, I swear, I'm gonna steal that off you. I've NEVER seen one in the wild, and its pretty much the only snes game I want right now.

And then, I conclude with my finds. Resident Evil Nemesis, Dreamcast, Complete, 7 bucks or so. I can work with that.

I picked up the LoZ Ages game for GBC earlier in the week. So today I went back to EB and grabbed the Seasons cart to go along with it.

Then stopped by Gamecrazy and got:

F-Zero

Super R-Type

Both SNES versions and both complete for $4.50 each.

Then stopped the local Wal-Mart and got:

Mercenaries for the X-Box for just $30.00

Which is a good price because all the used stores in the area are $20-$30 currently.

Stopped at a pawn shop which had way overpriced consoles. $30 for a bare Genesis console and $50 for a bare N64. LOL

Saw a lot of good rpg games that I need for the collection but I'm not willing to pay $20-$35 for loose SNES & Genesis carts.

Today I snagged for the genesis:
(ALL ARE COMPLETE :-D)

Target Earth
Centurion
Air Diver
Galaxy Force II
Street Fighter II Special Championship Edition
The Immortal
Sega Powerbase Converter (Model 1 mold)

and for the SNES (which I don't have one of... yet) a loose Zelda: A link to the past, all for a grand total of 24 dollars

It's not very often that a score on that scale happens. Normally it's 1 or 2 games max. It's by far my best until I find that $5 Keio Flying Squadron under a busted up Odyssey2 :bday: .

Pretty slow weekend. Went to E.B. and picked up a few things:

Fantastic Dizzy (Genesis) - $3.99
Athletic World (NES) - $3.99

Then, I had people volunteer to send me a few free games:

King of Fighers EX: Neo Blood (GBA)
Guilty Gear X: Advance Edition (GBA)
Super Mario Sunshine Guide
90 in 1 (NES) pirate cart

I don't find any mention of a 90 in 1 pirate cart anywhere (and I mean anywhere) on the net. Once it comes in I'm going to take some pictures and get it posted on the site here and see what exactly I have.
