"Roms here are highly frowned upon. and your first post being on that topic (instead of introducing yourself on the welcome thread) will get you flamed rather quickly.
we are all about buying games. hunting for them. getting the deals. part of the fun is searching for it through thirfts, gamestops, mom n pop stores and ebay as a last resort.
wont find any roms help regarding them here. sorry."
The thread can be found here: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=63489
Look dude, I'm in college plus I have a job.
I don't have time to go looking for these games, and if I did, it sure wouldn't be "fun" for me.
I know I'm nobody here, and I know this will get locked, and I don't know what meseta is, so i donated all 27 of it that i had to dreams.
OMG.
WTF.
Roms + emulators are illegal.
Second I imagine DP doesn't what Ninty or sega or who ever threating him with legal threats for endorsing in anyway illegal rom sites.
Its nothing against you that is just how things are done around here.

Sorry you feel that way, but the bottom line is roms are illegal if you don't own the orginal. If you want an answer to your question take it to a more appropriate place. There are thousands of emulation sites on the net try poking your head around one of those.

Personally I say, "sites" are bad for you. There are far greater ways of obtaining them. However you will have to find that out yourself. Might I suggest google.

That's cool that you're in college and have a job, I know alot of people who say they don't even have time for that! LOL
But that's what makes message boards like this so great. We have a Buying and Selling forum where you can post a topic on games you want, that way eliminating ever going 'hunting' for games. And if you have something to trade, you wouldn't even have to buy your most wanted games. :)

sorry dude the thing is rom's are illegial unless you own the game and really i fully understand how you feel but asking for roms on the site is prohibited, just part of the rules when you sign up for the site
but yup the other posters have suggested ways to look those are good recommendations

Can we all stop being a bit hypocritical here for a moment.
First of all lets not forget that this site once hosted an emulaton forum which was pretty popular.
Second of all emulators aren't illegal. Like many other legitimate things in life you can do illegal things with them but there ARE plenty of legal roms out there.
Third of all I though that the official rule here was that emulator and rom talk was fine as long as it was for dead no longer supported consoles. If I remember the thread in question he was asking about 8 and 16 bit consoles and not for PS2 and Xbox ISOs.
Lastly, I read posts about emulation or forms of it all the time around here. If the guy crossed the line and we can't help him out because of liability reasons then fine but to treat him like a second class citizen because he uses an emulator isjust hypocritical. How many people here have Mame on their computer?

I know I'm nobody here, and I know this will get locked,
So why did you start this topic in the first place?
Yes, I'm locking this, but it has nothing to do with you bing "a nobody" around here. First off, Off Topis is the wrong forum for discussion of ROMs and second, it's generally considered "bad form" to continue a topic like this after an old one has been locked. If you feel the mod was unfair in locking the other topic, PM her and I'm sure she'll explain.
Thanks.
