New rare game on PS2? Battle Assault 3?

Browsing ebay I came across this game:

I thought it was an import, and have never seen it yet or heard of it until then, it fetched a high price ($57 shipped). I was wondering if any of you have seen this game in stores at all? future rare title?

I've been thinking of getting it too, just because I am a Gundam fan. Hm, we'll see.

I did a check on it at GameStop's site. I punched it into the store search feature and got 5 matches close to me. Of course, those are all used. EBGames had nothing on the game new or used.

Amazon.com had 5 listed at new and used, all close to $40.

Ebay searching only turned up the one auction mentioned above.

It released just a bit over six months ago, so I can understand why EB and GS aren't carrying it new-their distributors are most likely out.

This could be something to watch, but for some reason I can't see a Gundam game being really rare. Maybe uncommon. Maybe once the new Gundam game (http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=38625) comes out we'll get a clearer picture.

I don't know. Gundam Battle Assault for PSX used to draw around $30 for a used copy, if you could find it. GBA2 was $19.99 from the get-go, and thus not very hard to find (many Blockbusters still have this). Also the Gundam game for the Dreamcast is at least uncommon.

I think the PS2 SD Gundam game is more likely to be on the rare side than Battle Assault 3.
