It seems like most of us collectors here only go for "complete" CD games. Loose CDs are looked at with much distane, just becouse how easy it is to keep the disc in its protectaive case.

So my question to you collectors out there is, how many loose game disc do you have in your collection? I'm not talking about demos or bonus discs or anything like that, just actual games. No manuals no boxes JUST cds.

I personally have 3 loose games and there all for the Sega Saturn.

Alone in the Dark: One Eye'd Jacks Revenge
The Legend of Oasis
Guardian Heros.

None at all. About a dozen games of mine don't have a manual, and to my knowledge only 1 doesn't come with its case.

If it was incomplete, it'd discourage me from buying something, and I'd be willing to pay less, but probably won't stop me period.

CDs for onsole games? None. Even the couple of games I got without the original case, I still have some sort of CD case for them.

PC CDs are another story. I have STACKS of them, all mixed together. From old games to demo CDs to e-mag CDs to educational CDs to software CDs, just tons of stuff I don't go to the trouble to put away individually or with any real care.

For for console games, absolutely none loose. I am extremely careful with them, only hold them by the edges, don't expose them to dust, etc.

100% of them.
I hate complete games with a burning passion.

I have quite a few loose Cd games. Almost all my Sega Cd games are loose, because I was a stupid teenager at the time and didn't think to keep the boxes. At least I was smart enough to save some of the manuals. The rest of my loose Cd games consist of 5 3DO games that came with a 3DO system I found in a thrift shop. About the only time I'd buy a loose Cd/DVD today is if it is either something I really want that I found really cheap, or something that came as a nice bonus to something else I bought.

I've got quite a few. Like Vultar, I was a dumb teenager and got rid of all of my 3DO boxes and put the discs in one of those CD book things. Then, for some reason I cannot remember for the life of me, all of my 3DO games are just in a stack. With the exception of the two I've bought most recently, all 30-some of them are loose and it infuriates me, mainly because it was my idiocy.

None. If it's loose, it's gotta go. I can't stand seeing a loose disk game in my collection. I don't care how rare it is.

I practically never buy individual loose CD games unless its a rare game and I'm getting a good deal on it or I am buying the CD to replace another CD. Sometimes, I'll buy a "Lot" of say Sega CD or Saturn games and I'll get a loose CD game. I'll hold onto it until I find the game complete, and then sell off my extra loose copy.

Currently I have the following loose CD games:

Darius Gaiden (PSX import) - won off ebay cheap
Batman Returns (Sega CD) - won in a lot of Sega CD games
Marvel vs Capcom 2 (Dreamcast) - picked up for $5 at Game Crazy during the 3 for $15 deal
NHL Hitz (PSX) - someone gave this to me.

I have about 5 other Sega CD games that I wouldn't call loose, but rather "incomplete". Some are just missing their instruction manuals while some of the old style ones are missing the cardboard box but have instructions.

Expect for two U.S Saturn games Enemy Zero&Panzer Dragoob Saga those are comeplete still 8-)

Why SOA couldn't have used "jewel case" insted like SOJ did is beyond me x_x

I have around 10. And the only reason I have that many is I paid less than $2 for them. I can't complain for that price.

My first reaction was just to say zero. Then, as I was posting, I realized that I do have a few.

1. Chu Chu Rocket. It's loose because I rented from Hollywood Video and never returned it. Bastards put a $40 collection on my CBR, but that'll be gone in two more years, I refuse to pay.

2. I remembered that there were a grip of games that I took for very little money several years ago when I worked for Gamestop.

Sonic CD
Last Bronx
Sewer Shark
Myst
Virtua Cop 2
Die Hard Arcade

Truth be told, they are only incomplete because the wisdom of Gamestop is to throw away the case for any game that comes in a large box and put it into a jewel case, or even worse, those horrid little paper sleves.

P.S.

Fuck EB-Stop.

I just have one - Need For Speed: High Stakes for PlayStation. Got it for free.

I refuse to buy loose discs - I'll wait a little longer to come across complete copies if I have to. I'll take them for free, though.

EDIT: I recently got a box and manual for High Stakes, so now I don't have any.

i have quite a few, I dont care much for PSX collecting, so i have quite a few games i picked up cheap at blockbuster. I also have a fair amount of Saturn and Sega CD games with only the disc, as long jewel cases are often broken. I prefer complete games, but if i find a loose copy of Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV on Saturn for 2 dollars, im not going to fret of the lack of a box :)

Quite a few at this point. No way in hell am I going to turn my nose up to a free game or a good deal, so I keep the loose games until I can upgrade. Most of my loose games are for PlayStation. I found a bunch for free, got others in lots, and some of my boyfriend's longbox games and Japanese games are loose because he couldn't be bothered back then to keep the non-standard cases (or his mom just threw them out :/ ).

Hell, I only have a handful of loose games across any system. I have 3 loose SNES games and 14 loose NES games, and that's it. None of my Gameboy (any iteration), PSX, PS2, Xbox, or Gamecube games are anything less than complete.

Well, I have several I've gotten by accident, or in a bulk lot, but I don't even count them as part of my collection. If I just have the disk, I don't have the game.

I'm anal.

Just these:

PSX:

Raiden Project
Rayman 2
Tempest X3
Strikers 1945

3D0:

Stellar 7: Draxton's Revenge
Mad Dog McCree
Killing Time

Sega CD:

Final Fight
Night Trap

I wish I held on to my loose Lucienne's Quest and Space Adventure... I didn't think I'd have to sell my complete copies...

Let's see... It's well over 50 Playstation games, and probably near 20 Dreamcast titles. I don't consider myself to be that much of a collector, when it comes down to it. I want to play the game, not admire it, yes? Not that I deny the allure of a complete game; when it comes to current systems, I have one loose Xbox title, and two for the PS2, and I've made fake covers for them all. As prices have risen, I feel more dissatisfied if it's less than complete. Lack of a booklet will turn me off a lot of the time, especially when it's the same price as a copy with a booklet (glares at EB).

Tech Romancer and Sonic Adventure 2 for Dreamcast.

They were sitting in the rear section of the cases for Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense and Virtua Fighter 3tb respectively.

Only four disc only Saturn Games (Christmas Nights, Golden Axe: The Duel, Resident Evil & X-Men COTA) which for now are in blank DVD cases until they're de-orphanized.

I've probably got about 30-50 loose CD games. I prefer them complete but like a lot have said if they are cheap or free well...

Most are Saturn games with a few for Sega CD, 3DO and Dreamcast. I've got a few PS1 games that are missing the manuals. All my current gen stuff is complete.

I don't really know for sure.

I do know that 5 out of 7 of my saturn games are loose, (Bought that way from goodwill) and my copy of Sonic adventure is loose (Bought it that way from EBGames..)
