I put them on my shelf like every other game. It's not like I'm moshing in my room or anything.

what and ugly piece of crap to have on your wall LOL LOL LOL

my stuff is in the same place as the rest of my games. since i mostly collect ps1 games, the condition of the case means nothing.

Same here. I honestly don't know if i even have 8-10 rarity games. I don't really pay attention to rarities, my games are sorted alphabetically.

Right now, they are just mixed in with all of my other games. But if, at one point, I have more 9's and 8's, I will probably buy a glass casing for them all and display 2 or so on each shelf. 8-) .
Right now, I've only got a few worth displaying, so I don't bother.

Mine are not with the rest of my games but are in my room on the top of my bookshelf. My brother/cousins never run around in my room and I don't allow any rough play in there. I have a bookshelf for books, movies, binders, etc. and on the top shelf, mixed with some things that I've always prized, are some games (complete Fox Hunt, sealed Bases Loaded II, etc.) and some gaming items (Sonic Boom soundtrack, Zelda belt buckle, etc.). They are displayed there and nothing bad is gonna happen to them. Works for me.

Mine are just in my cases full of games in Alphabetical order just like any other game, although I don't have any R8 or higher. My rarest games are Flintstones 2 and Bubble Bobble 2 and all the other R7's for the NES. No R8 or greater for me. :(

The only R8s I own (and know are R8s) are Crows and Taromaru... both of which I keep in a plastic baggy but still play regularly (at least Taromaru, as Crows is kinda shitty).

Much like everyone else here, My rares are in with the rest of my games. I have a few NES games in those plastic snap-cases that say NINTENDO on them, but that's it. I can't see myself ever framing a game. Maybe if I had an Air Raid cart or something I would keep it in a box wrapped in something, but it would have to be something worth thousands of dollars before I would go to those lengths.

If I had a Stadium Events cart, it would be in a plastic snap case. That's it.

I only have one R8, and its nothing special. Fun n Games for SNES. I keep it in a plastic ziploc bag along with action 52 for genesis and intelligent qube for ps1. my other 3 rares are action 52, flintstones 2, and bubble bobble 2, all of which get no special treatment. bb2 and fs2 sit with the rest of my games and action 52 sits with other boxed games. :)

all my rare unboxed nes carts are in the black sleeves intergrated within my other games alphabetically.. lucky for me my friends know shit all about game rarities, so when they come round i'll make them believe a boxed mario is rarer than anything else

I've thought about protecting my rare games altho I dont own that many rare ones, except Flintstones 2, Mr. Gimmick and a couple of sealed Action 52's for NES. Some hardcover plastic thingie might work, but not sure where to buy them.

Most rare games aren't much fun (for the most part) so if I come across any, one word usually comes to mind....

EBAY! :D

Then I can buy more games that I will actually play.

So, I guess I protect my rare games with bubble wrap before I send them off.

When I bought my copy of Sexy Parodius for Sega Saturn at this pawn shop in my hometown, it came in a plastic sleeve to protect it.

Now that Dracula X Rondo of Blood came into my house being the most I paid for a CD game, it's now inside the "plastic sleeve of justice".

I actually don't own anything that high up, I think my highest is only a 4 or maybe 5. They don't really get any special treatment [CD case like all the others], although I'm aware that if it stopped working I might not be able to afford another copy for a long time.

Wait wait wait wait wait! You found a copy of Sexy Parodius at a pawn shop in Virginia? That's incredible! Wish I could be so lucky.

Yeah man it's one of those things. Actually it wasn't a pawn shop it's was one of those family run thrift stores. But the man had a awesome selection of NES, Game Gear Game Boy SNES Sega Saturn and PS1 games. Just so happens Sexy Parodius leaked into his inventory.

Unfortunately, he passed away 13 months ago. He was such a cool guy. The shop closed down and moved to another state. Slammin' memories will live on in that shopping center void.

i'm going to pretend that wasn't a beat 'em up i saw insulted. i don't think i have anything above an r7, and they're all in generic methods of keeping.

Everything gets lumped together. My Sonic Adventure LE is in the Dreamcast binder along with the rest of them.

I just keep them in a sunlight and smoke free room.

Just stacked with all the other games in alphabetical order. Honestly, I could care less what the rarity or value is of my stuff. I keep an inventory and I'm careful with the rarer games, but that sort of thing just isn't relevant. I only buy em to play em.

I do nothing, considering I have no R8-10 games. ;) The couple R7 games I have are mixed in with the rest. I'm much more concerned about protecting my highly valuable games than my cheap yet rare games.

I recently sold about 8 or so of these on ebay...I kinda wish I held onto one of them, Oh well.

If I should happen to acquire any R8+ games (topping out at R7 here, currently) I will probably just shelve them along with the rest of the hoi polloi.

Not that a series of laser-triggered booby traps wouldn't be cool to have in the game room.

Unless the game is a rarity 10 or valued over $1000, it sits in a tupperware container if it is loose or on one of my shelving units if it is boxed. If it's over $1000, it sits in a dark walk in safe room with blast proof doors only to be viewed by me on the holiest day of the year (E3). :P LOL

Well, my only R8 (team buddies) just kinda hangs out on the shelf between Tall infinity and threads of fate, most likely talking behind my back about the fact that I haven't played them yet. jerks. :P

Well, i don't Exactly Own any R8s or higher (Currently, as of this typing) But my BNEW & Sealed copy of tank brigade stays in a locked storage unit.

My copy of Poy Poy stays amongst my PS1 Games.

no special treatment here, my R10 stays in its box with the system it came with, R8s and 9s in with the rest of the games for their respective systems. no space to store them separately anyway.

Lessee.. Smurfs 2 is filed between The Smurfs and Scramble Spirits, while Mah-Jong sits in the cart slot of my spare SMS1 (I'm missing the box).

I play them and sort them in with the rest of my games. Curently I only have 1 R7 which is Poy Poy from Konami on the PS1. It's a somewhat fun game but I've had more fun playing pong honestly. Rare games are great to own but often times suck as far as gameplay goes.

Hmm...I'm most concerned about keeping my games in reach, but out of sunlight. I've got a good number of games in boxes/cabinets right now, which is a good place for them. Biggest thing for me to remember is to be careful when taking them out, to minimize scuffed surfaces. Big issue for jewel case games.

I have one R8.

Right now, it is sitting on a shelf, loose, not even tucked away, collecting dust all over, including the sensitive parts.

There's actually a little bit of grime on it too that I have neglected. I'm sure if many of you saw its condition, you'd cringe.

I had a thought the other day -

Places such as WHSmith's and Tesco use clear plastic box's as security measures. These are fairly well built and secure - Perfect for storing many a rare game in.

Only problem is, how would one go about obtaining a bunch of these cases (Legitimately)? Surely some company must make them, or something similar...

I have also heard of a place in London which appraises things such as MOC Vintage Star Wars figures - They give it a C rating, and then seal it up in a similar kind of transparent case to preserve that condition forever.

I have no idea what the place is called though, but I have seen many an eBay auction for really rare C9+ figures encased in these...

Sealed away, never to be played again. Great, so I can lose my games without having to worry about them! LOL
